I def agree, he was brought on board to be the 3rd set up man. This included giving up a reliable 5th starter option in Kason Gabbard, David Murphy, and a good dominican 17 yr old slugger just to pry him away

I am not unhappy that we gave up those players as they did not have a future with us - but certainly we could have done better in return. Gagne was brought as an insurance to Paps - it is a good thing that Paps was OK in second half.

I was pleased with Gagne's outing. I know he sucked in the beginning, but not pitching for a little over a week causes some rust. He shook it off and pitched well afterwards.
