f*** this. We're not done yet. We've come back from 0-2 before against Oakland, who I think was a better team. Let's see these f***s handle the Bronx.

What are the Joba Rules for Sunday? He pitched almost 2 full innings on Friday. I'd love to see him pitch the 8th instead of Mo. I guess that Farnsworth is buried deep on the bullpen bench.

Joba will be fine for Sunday.

There are none, and I don't think Farnsworth even made the roster.

Dusseldorf and Veras did.

ESPN reports that owner George Steinbrener said Joe Torre won't likely return as Yankees manager if they don't advance to the ALCS.

Torre makes $7 million a season and is in the final year of his contract. "His job is on the line," Steinbrenner said. "I think we're paying him a lot of money. He's the highest-paid manager in baseball, so I don't think we'd take him back if we don't win this series."

This is what makes me sick about NY. Maybe Steinbrenner thinks this will give the team a kick in the ass but my god....Torre did a tremendous job this season to get the team back from the dead and make the playoffs.

Somewhere it was determined its the Yankees god given right to win everything. It doesn't register to Steinbrenner that the Guardians might actually be a good team that deserves to win and should be given some kind of respect rather than threatening his team manager if they don't beat the Guardians.

From what I've seen the Guardians are the team of "destiny" this season. They have finally put the pieces together and appear to be the team with a great all around pitching staff and dangerous lineup. If they beat the Yankees they should be commended and the Yankees should be congradulated on making a fantastic comeback. Instead Steinbrenner does what only he knows how to do.....threaten people with there jobs....it gets old after a while

I didn't realize that. He must have become a total cancer in addition to pitching lousy for them to put Dusseldorf on the roster in his place.

Steinbrenner must have had a flashback moment and he pulled his old rally the troops move out of his 1970-1980's Billy Martin bag of tricks.

I thought it was a forgone conclusion that this would be Torre's last season, World Series or not

And Id say this year's team of destiny are the Colorado Rockies. Since the end of May/early June theyve been the best team in baseball, and have won a sick 17 out of their last 18 games to get to the NLCS

I'm gonna throw s*** at the boys if we lose tonight. I'll be TIGHT!!!

Hopefully I wont be witnessing ROger Clemenses last start ever tonight.

I don't think this has anything to do with Torre's job. My guess this is to fire the players up to "protect" their guy, as many of them like Torre.

Some Yankee fans are calling this a stroke of genious, a move that will turn this series around and propel them to #27. Just like last year against Detroit.

If the price is right, he'll pitch again. Where and when are anybody's guess. Maybe the Mets will sign him next year.

Let them go and do what they do off Westbrook and see what happens.

I wonder who's fault that is on the Jeter throw. And how the f*** is it a hit? He blatantly threw it way wide.

Looked like Jeter's fault - but you never know Menky could have made the play.

Roger looks rusty so far.

You mean Giambi?

1-0 Tribe.

Bye Torre.

I meant if Menky was at 1st base - he might have been able to make the play - hope that clears it up.

Just like Mirabelli should have been put in for Tek right?

That post made no sense what so ever. I know Giambi is playing first base - that might be some defensive liability for the Yankees.

I do not like Veritek - and I have my reasons also known as stats.
