I hope no one makes any stupid comments generalizing this behavior representing all Yankee fans but these are just a couple of morons
Posted

noticed that the 2 guys who did the crime were from pennsylvania and were only in ny for work as were the massachusetts guys

if you wear a sox hat in ny during october you invite this behavior whether you think its right or wrong...its like a crip wearing his blue bandana in blood land

it invites a response,in some cases its screaming for a response.

add a barroom setting with a couple of phillies fans who are watching their team blow like the whores from hell and then you have something brewing

i am not convinced that the mass guys were 100^% innocent

few of us are

most of us would respond to a maggot starting s*** at the end of the bar but should have the sense not to be blindsided when leaving..

everyone should carry a side arm

it makes the world much more polite and you can wear your team gear all over america without fear of retribution

yea, its a reality that you put yourself at risk if you wear a Sox hat in the Bronx in October around drunk guys but its a sad reality

When I go to NYC I never even have to think about wearing Sox stuff or not...it's intuitive...ya just don't do it.

A guy wearing Sox stuff in New York, though, doesn't mean the beating is justified, only means that he has no common sense and/or was likely pushing some foks buttons.

There's *******s in every city, why give them what they view as an excuse to show how despicable they are?

I have no problem wearing a Sox hat in NY. Sports is a form of entertainment and going back and forth verbally with other fans is a part of that, and anyone who takes this too seriously and gets physical needs to address the priorities in their life.

Assault is against the law, and any moron who wants to assault another human being for whatever reason can sit in jail and pay the legal price for his/her actions.

I hope this Sox fan hauls their asses into civil court for lost wages, plus pain and suffering.

I know buddy I'm kidding- why do you think I miss hawk?

The jokes don't work as well on you. Although I heard that Cleveland did tamp the field last night since Wang was pitching.

How being a doctor treating you?

My company was officially bought yesterday by a 20 Billion dollar data and information corporation that provides all of higher education and the banking systems with their data.

Something tells me they know that I am posting on Talksox right now.....

I hate New York in general. Having visited the city twice already I can already say I hate New York, I hate the people, I honestly think most, if not all of them (some exceptions) are shitbags. However, these guys weren't from New York as MC said, so I can't call them New York *******s, instead they're just *******s.

It's really sick that people would go so far as to physically harm another fan. Sure I rib at Yankee fans, I pushe their buttons now and then, but they're not about to go beating up someone over it. Nor would I do the same if I was taunted.

New York City is probably the greatest city in the world.

Better place to visit: NYC, easily.

Better place to live: Boston

Best place for Bachelor party- NYC

Best place to take your girlfriend/wife- Boston

Best place to take your girlfriend/wife on a yearly vacation/party- NYC

Best place for Italian food- Boston North End and it isnt even close

Best place for every other kind of food- NYC and it isnt even close

This is idiotic, just like that Sooners fan who tried to pull a Sonny Chiba-in-Street-Fighter on the Longhorns fan last month. If you're willing to severely hurt or kill someone over a sports team, you need serious help.

I lived in NYC for 6 months and its a city that makes you exhausted. The city never stops and its hard to get away if you want (since the city is enormous). Boston has loud bars, quite bars, upscale locations, places to go to get away...its nice.

As far as these men beating up Red Sox fans....grow up, its just a game.

Personally I hate Yankee fans but I love them as well....because without Yankee fans...baseball isn't as much fun

I love New York. It's a fast paced, no ******** city. Everywhere else I've been is so slow it's maddening. I'm dying to visit Boston though, planning on taking a trip up there sometime in the next year to see a game with my buddies.

Boston is great. I've been everywhere in Boston, but the notable places to me are the Best Buy by Fenway and the train station next to fenway. I haven't been to NYC in years.

i visit ny 4 times a year whether i want to or not

im trying to think of something ny has that boston doesnt and with the exception of hyperdermic needles on the beaches im not sure there is anything.

perhaps its the food stations that are open 24/7

its nice to roll out at 330am and be able to get a slice of pizza

outside the food and bar business theres really nothing ny has that boston dont

schools hospitals parks museums art etc....we got it all here too

there are more women to be had in ny because the men all llook like they need a month in a health spa and the rate of homosexual behavior is staggering.

NYC is awesome. I like Boston a wee bit more, but only because I feel more comfortable in a smaller city. I wouldn't hesitate to take a trip to NYC though. I love it.

I've never had a problem wearing my Red Sox hat anywhere but in, surprisingly, Philadelphia. People in New York would just give me a look, but it wasn't anything to antagonize me with. I bet those Red Sox fans that got beat up somewhat fed the flame because I doubt they were 100% innocent. But those idiots in Philadelphia...Jesus Christ. They try to make Philly into a city that's like Boston or New York, and it's just clearly not. f*** it, the Phillies don't even have a rivalry with the Sox or Yanks. They're just brutal in Philly. I wasn't even wearing a jersey or anything, just my Sox cap, when I would pass by some Phillies fans and they'd be like "HEY YOU s***, BOSTON SUCKS."

Seriously, what the f***? Philly sucks. Sorry, KeepTheFaith, but I'm sure I'm not the only one that's had bad experiences in Philly.

I lived in Mass for 6 years ( thats how I became Red Sox fan watching NESN) near Boston and I live in NYC from 2001( been to Cleveland for 2 years in between).

Both of them are different and I love both cities. People can be little rude in both cities - but both have life. NYC is no doubt more demanding and fast paced. I would prefer NYC because for my career( Financial IT) - paychecks are way better than Boston. I know how selfish that sounds - but I am trying to be honest.
