It's a shame really. The Cubs were a pretty nice story. They struggle horribly for a month or so, then you have the Zambrano-Barrett dugout fight, and Lou goes apeshit arguing a call the next day. They caught fire, made the playoffs, but they just didn't have enough juice left.

 

This also puts the years w/o title at a nice 100.

What an exciting team to watch. Should the Sox and Rox meet in the playoffs (yeah, I know, let's get there first), they'd be a very, very difficult team to beat. They're loaded with young talent that will only get better.

I've watched a lot of this Rockies team over the past three or four years, the beginning of almost all of these guys' careers, since I didn't have a way to watch the Sox at the time and I had to get my baseball fix somehow. This team was fun to watch before they were winning a lot of baseball games. Now that they're winning baseball games it's incredible.

 

BALLGAME! GOING TO THE NLCS!!!!!!

 

edit: If people need high priced superstars to tune in then f*** 'em. They'll be missing some exciting baseball and an extremely exciting team.
