If you break down what he did in the postseason for the Yankees (04 and 05)' date=' he was not that bad.[/quote']

2004 with the yankees 6.97 ERA 8ER in 10IP

2005 with the yankees 3.86 ERA , he only pitched 2.1IP and allowed a ER

EDIT: oh and in 2004 against the sox he allowed 6ER in 6.2IP =8.10 ERA

Another bad call by the ump. Great play by Rollins' date=' but he was safe. This is getting annoying in the post-season.[/quote']

Didn't really matter all that much in the grand scheme of things, but I have to agree...he looked safe.

That was a really well played game headlined by two real good young pitchers.

I'm real impressed with Francis....too bad I dumped him in like the second week of the fantasy season.

Well, yeah, his numbers certainly do not look good. However, in 2004, he only gave up runs in one game which they lost. On top of that, all his runs in the division series were inherited by Mo, and he pitched two shutout innings in the clinching game of the ALDS.

What's the problem? I said nothing that wasn't a fact. Obviously he wasn't great, but some people make it seem like he was the sole reason why the Yankees lost.

Oh, no argument from me. All I'm saying is that there were times when he actually did pretty well for the Yankees in big spots.

Wait a minute...wasn't this an NLDS thread?

They're discussing whether or not Tom Gordon of the Phillies, who gave up the HR to Holliday, sucks in the postseason... so this discussion kind of fits the threads original point...

I noticed that, but in a way it kinda deviates from the original purpose of the thread.

In any case, first pitch for the ARI/CHI series is in a little under 2 hours. Webb vs Zambrano. If Big Z is on top of his game, tonight should be a pitcher's duel.

All the Rox need to do at this point is IBB Rollins. David Copperfield should contract Utley and Howard to show him how to disappear.

That's the truth. And I shouldn't be so down on Fogg... he does suck, but he has his moments...

True, he had a 3.25 ERA in Sept, and really only had one bad inning the other night.

The bad inning led to 5 runs, but still. lol.

I was just about to make a point about them calling him the Dragon Slayer but Orsillo JUST made the point for me...
