I'm not sure Monday night would've done it. They threw ten guys but they all worked real quick. The only guy that threw more than 15 pitches out of their bullpen was Herges, and he threw three innings. With the day off, I'm sure their guys are fine.

 

Francis is around 94 pitches right now, I believe.

Having Fuentes is going to be a big advantage against Utley and Howard, especially in a one run game.

Actually, they might have thought they could steal a hit with the pitcher batting, especially if they have confidence in his ability to handle the bat. Both corners were charging, and Francis swung away, but Utley made a really nice play. I think it was a nice move by Clint Hurdle.

If you break down what he did in the postseason for the Yankees (04 and 05), he was not that bad.
