Manny for Kemp? Obviously more pieces would be involved, but they were interested in manny last year. Kemp is a very impressive young player, and we'd need to get another big bat somehow to try and replace manny's production. However, i dont know if manny would make fewer mental mistakes than the dodgers young players do!

I saw this on Yahoo! today. Ned Coletti is a retard. The reason his team is out of it is because they wasted too many ABs on the likes of Gonzalez, Hillenbrand, and Nomar and didn't just let the kids (who are way more talented) play.

 

Veteran leadership is one thing, but give the talented players a chance to play.

Kemp is WAY more valuable than Manny right now. Even if Manny's talent level is higher (which can be debatable - Kemp is a much better fielder and put up numbers in limited time that were better than Manny's), Manny still makes like 200X whatever Kemp is scheduled to make next year. And Kemp's cheap contract has 3 or 4 years remaining.

 

If Kemp were to be traded for Manny, there would be more given to LA, and it will almost certainly include a wad of cash.

 

The trade is just not going to happen.

That article was the writer blowing smoke up everyones ass. The very next day the FO said they are not trading Kemp. They are really pissed at Kent, and he will be available for trade if he picks up his players option next year.

Not much has been written about him, so I'd be curious to see what you've read. Everything I've read has said his teammates (at least the younger ones) love him.
