Thumper' date=' I don't know where you've been, but yes, there are MANY MORE.[/quote']

I realize that. But damn it just seems like they're all starting to get exposed at once.

It was only a matter of time until the leak got stronger. We kept hearing about all these players that got exposed but we didn't hear any names. They'll probably start popping up in the near future.

I have a list of players in my head that if asked "Who do you think uses?" thats pretty long. Anyone want to post who they think could get busted? No need for actual proof, just if you had a hunch or wouldnt be surprised if there name gets listed.

Nomar

Nixon

Stairs

Guillen, Jose

Sanders, Reggie

Millar

Rolen

Clemens

Thats just a few I wouldn't be shocked, Theres other but someone else can play Devil's Advocate for a bit.( Guys again, its not based on actual proof)

Why suspect Nixon? Because of a dramatic change in his appearance, a rise in power numbers followed by a flame out, and the ensuing injuries.

My list?

Sox: Nomar, Varitek, Nixon, O'Leary, Carl Everett, Damon, Hillenbrand, KAPLER, Foulke..to name a few.

Yanks: AROD, Sheffield, Giambi, Jeter, Tim Raines, Strawberry, Clemens, Soriano, Posada, , Sierra, etc.

Others:

Bonds, Thome, Sexson, Pujols, Sosa, Bagwell, Andrue Jones, Huff, Burnitz, Chavez, Tejada, Luis Gonzalez, Jay Payton, Glaus, Jim Edmonds, McGwire, Salmon, Moises, Carlos Pena, Pedro, Trevor Hoffman, Percival, Urbina, Francisco Cordero

And that's just scratching the surface.

I think Kapler without a doubt, and Straw was on coke, not steroids :D I'm absolutely positive Sierra was on steroids, you have to see how much muscle mass he put on. Hillebrand has no neck, same goes for Hinske. Don't know about ARod but I'd be absolutely shocked if Tim Raines didn't use.

Ricky Henderson too. Like Raines, he was an absolute brick. Good call on Hinske.

I believe the local boy on your list did. I played against him in college and he was half the size he retired at. A possible HoF'r who isn't really mentioned much when the topic comes up.

I'd add John Kruk to the list.

If Kruk took steroids, it's because he thought they were candy. :D

I agree with you though, I look at every single player who doesn't criticize steroids as being suspicious.

Speakign of Kruk BTW, I think the entire Phillies team that lost to the Jays in the WS was on steroids. Dykstra, Dalton, Williams seemed to all have roid rage.

You referring to Bags?

BTW, I saw Giambi in the highlights this a.m.

I swear he changes size every few months. Maybe it's just me but he looks like he gets big, then deflates for a very short time, then gets big again. He looked a bit slender last night...maybe the vertical/horizontal controls in my TV were off?

I doubt it about Arod. He's always been successful, no sudden power surges, and he attributes his great season to LOSING weight, making him quicker and less bulky than last year. Take a look at Giambi. He's half the size he was two years ago.

(1) ARod's first full year in the bigs was 1996...which certainly falls into the steroid years, so his lack of "surges" means nothing if he was using something all along.

(2) He lost weight? Looks bigger to me. Anyway, not every 'roid results in weight gain, there are bulking agents, cutting agents, substances that result in strength gains without as much noticeable size change. Those in the know are very adept at using/recommending the right stuff.

Regardless, I do suspect him. Guys bigger and stronger than him in the past never hit balls 420 feet (practically one-handed) the way he, Pujols and other do... so unless the ball is juiced or the bats are juiced I have to suspect something is up.

I rarely see A-Rod hit a tape measure HR, and his follow through is one handed, but both hands are on the bat when he's swinging.

I don't want to try and look like I'm being a homer here, but I'm just curious why people suspect A-Rod over anyone else. I may be wrong, but I think this sentiment only comes from the fact that he's better than everyone else.

EDIT: I'm not saying he didn't, I just don't think that he should be suspected over anyone else.

A-Rod hits some tape measure shots. Take a look at some of the distances on his HR's.

Yeah I know the swing well, it's actually being taught to kids now, they call it top-hand release. I also understand that what counts is the amount of bat speed that is developed prior to and up to contact, not after the ball has left the bat.

What I am referring to is the ball down and away...o/s corner at the knees, that he swats at and hits 400 feet to right center. There are a few guys in the bigs that can do that. 5 years ago there might have actually been more of them. Just based on the effortless swing, on pitches that are very difficult to drive, and the fact that the ball travels that far I have to suspect that either balls are juiced, bats are juiced or players are juiced.

You may be right...perhaps he has never used anything. Or you may simply have blind faith in ARod and his ability and/or integrity.

I just go by what I see and having watched baseball for so many years, something doesn't look right.

Varitek, Damon for sure. Lugo maybe is weird as it sounds. I think Miguel Cabrera may have used at the beginning of his career, but not anymore. Lowell did to help him recover from his testicular cancer.

Who I suspect off the top of my head...Sheffield, Rolen, I think Placido Polanco may have but not anymore. A-Rod is a possibility, Brett Boone, Luis Gonzalez, Miguel Tejada, Frank Thomas, Carlos Beltran maybe, Eric Gagne, Sammy Sosa, Shawn Green, Pedro, Clemens, etc...

That reminds me. There was this infielder in Toronto a few years ago who hit a 420ft blast to dead center in the then Skydome off a El Duque pitch down and away and definetely out of the strike zone. I remembered thinking at the time, this ain't natural. It might have been Hudson, but I'm not certain. I just remembered thinking that I couldn't beleive what I just saw.

Why do I not suspect A-Rod? It's because with all the work done by journalists these days, noone has ever really implied or heard any rumors that A-Rod was jucing or juiced in the past. I go by the wehre theres smoke, there's fire, and for whatever reason the media hasn't gotten any smoke from A-Rod, and you know they would LOVE to get some.
