Haha, you're 100% correct. LSU would murder either of them. However, that's the unfortunate way that the system works. Hopefully it gets revised.

 

As far as Matt Ryan goes ... I really don't think he played that s***** of a game. He led those two drives at the end of the fourth quarter to bring BC to a victory. The O-Line played like s*** the entire game, which was what made Ryan look worse than he was. I'm still in complete shock. This legitimizes them a lot more. If they win out, then they have to play in that national championship game. Who knows? BC may jump to 1 even if Ohio State wins Saturday. Weirder things have happened. And oh, how huge was that VT touchdown missed call looking after BC scored theirs?

I've got to give it to Andre Woodson right now. 26/4 and he toppled the No. 1.

 

Ryan was good in the last 3 mins, but give some credit to his coach. They adjusted the game plan and got him on the move more since the VT line was holding a meeting in the pocket every play. Beamer got beat by Jag. No adjustments from VT.

based on the fact that bc is now 8-0 with road wins in atlanta and blacksburg as underdogs they have as much a claim as anyone for #1

as a fan all i can reasonably expect is a bcs bid and an acc championship.

a national championship is overly optimistic at this point but its not out of the question.

as a bookmaker i see the eagles as a 14pt dog in the sugar bowl against lsu and a 6 pt dog against ohio state

Interesting thing about that game, Crunchy. Apparently some of the VaTech jerseys were stolen before the game, so some players had to wear Georgia Tech white uniforms and sharpie out some details.

lol is right. Ryan lost his bid for the Heisman yesterday, while Dennis Dixon certainly looks as the leading candidate right now.

About four weeks ago I had Michael Crabtree as my runaway Heisman Winner... by far. But the last four weeks he hasn't done too much... so I'd have to go Dennis Dixon.

 

But more about Crabtree... through 6 games the guy had 70 receptions and 17 TD's and well over 1,000 yards I believe. I don't care what kind of "gimmick offense" you play in, those are unreal numbers. Since then, though... 1 TD.

If you can get past WVU's blindingly bright yellow uniforms, I suggest turning to ESPN and watching the remainder of this great game between WVU and Louisville play out... tied at 31... you should especially be interested if you're cheering for UConn in the Big East!
