Damons homer is out in Fenway since it was right down the line. Jeter's homer and Manny's homer wouldnt have cleared. Call it a wash.

No, that ball is caught in the corner.

Doesn't really matter. It's in Yankee Stadium.

Wily Mo over Drew any day. I'll drink to that.

Still, I miss Trot... why did he have to leave?

Trot has been benched in favor of Lofton. I wholeheartedly agree to WMP >>> Drew.

Oh well - we lost the game with their best pitcher. I am going to game tomorrow - so hopefully we will beat up on Roger.

Keilty and manram got hurt so looks like Drew and Hinski tommorow (for precautionary reasons) I still have no idea why drew was in there tonight instead of Keilty to start the game.

You said that a good hitter would have laid off. So you're saying that it's all on Drew because he's not a good hitter.

I was only responding to your initial point, which, in my opinion, was false.

I think part of why I say it like that is because I, along with almost every Red Sox fan feel that Drew has no reason being on this team. I was more angry at Drew than anything else, I'm sorry if I made Joba seem like an afterthought, I would have had no issue with anything you said had it been any of our other starters.

Alright, fair enough. Silly argument anyway. Good game tonight, and good luck tomorrow.

Drew has got to find a way out of this lineup. He's been a worse signing than edgar renteria

Drew's already played his way out of the lineup, but because Scott Boras has pictures of Theo Epstein with little children (or some other bullcrap reason) he gave that douche $14 million a year and Tito has to play him.

The Sox are better off with Hinske or Keilty in right. Like I said, at least WMP would have swung the bat.

I still think if we take 1/3 - we are fine. We just can't get swept.

My biggest concern at this point is Manny. Dice looks spent - in Japan probably that would be the last start of the season for him.

I don't believe I am saying this - but if Drew does not put his s*** together tomorrow - I will boo him in the Yankee stadium.

Who's to say he'd be sucking if he was still with Boston?

I will never understand the love of RSN with Nixon. That is to say Drew would hit 30 home runs if he was in LA.

Dice-K isn't spent. He just isn't getting any run support.

Allow me to introduce you to Common Sense and Logic.

I pretty sure they haven't met you.

Well, tomorrow is the big game. If we win, then the pressure shift a bit, Boston doesn't want to get swept. If the Sox win, then it's ok no matter what happens on Wednesday. Either way, these games are a shitload more important for us then you.

I'm at every game this series, so I'll try to pipe in when I get home.

unless the sox completely go in the tank and lose all 6 to the yankees, THEN lose 2 more games to us for the rest of the month, this race is over. So those of you who are crying about the sox losing, shut it. It is in Yankee stadium, the goal for the sox is to not get swept, thats it. And in the next series, the goal is to not get swept. Right now, the yankees arent even in your rear view. Enjoy the ride down the Champs d'Elysses (sp?) and take the yellow tape with some dignity.

as damon goes

as go the yankees

they have an incredible record when he scores

dice gave up 6 hits but he still had that combustible inning in place in the 1st that he wiggled out of cheap

the battery needs to address his control issues before the bases are loaded

I am little upset because we had a pretty good chance of winning the game against Pettite but finished short. You don't get a chance to beat an Ace often - and we came close just like we came close of beating Beddard that Gagne blew.

I have a strange feeling that we could have won if Drew did not start that game.

Drew looked like a pile of dog crap. To make matters worse his nonchalant attitude gives the appearance that all he's concerned about is cashing his checks. Crisp was fooled all night at the plate, Petit's change up was absolutely nasty and he mixed in a tiny sprinkle of 75mph curves just to keep the hitters honest. Lugo had great looks and great swings all night which was promising.

Chamberlain is a mutant.
