What an absolutely fantastic win tonight. Keep it going. Hopefully the Yanks have trouble tonight against the team that always gives them headaches in the Angels.

Its f***ing on! Friends and family havent seen me this positive about each game (including losses) since the Sox won games 4 & 5 against the Yankees. This team is too talented not to get to the playoffs. Onto tomorrow, Lester vs Sonnanstine

Wakefield now tied with Beckett and Lackey with 15 wins in the AL.

I was thinkin it would be really cool for Wake to get 20 wins this year. To do so he'll have to go through the White Sox, Yanks (twice), Toronto, Baltimore, Tampa Bay and the Twins and win 5 of them. I don't think it will happen, but it would be sweet! gg.

I think he'll get close. I think atleast 18 wins for Wakefield this season. He's got it in him.

And even when he faces a harder team, he can still keep the side hitless/scoreless for 2-3 innings, which means if he comes back in 2008, it would be nice to see him in the bullpen for mid-relief. All depending if he wants to go back there, and if it's even an option.

He wont be facing the Yanks next week as its set up as Matsuzaka, Beckett, Schilling. His next 2 starts are Chicago, Baltimore

EDIT: Didnt realize "Schil" noted that before me

Actually, Wake's schedule is a bit easier than you said I think. I'm counting this (assuming, of course, that the rotation stays the same and no one skips a turn or anything):

@ White Sox

vs. Orioles

vs. Blue Jays

vs. Devil Rays

vs. Yankees

@ Devil Rays

vs. Twins

He has to win 5 out of those 7 starts. If he's going to lose 2, I'm going to say he'll drop the Blue Jays and the Yankees and win the other 5. It's very possible, but at the same time, it's wishful thinking. At least he doesn't have to face the Yanks twice.
