Im thinking ahead here' date=' so no one will be ticked if say during the 9th inning, Papelbon the hill with 2 outs, they cut to see a Barry Bonds AB?[/quote']

Woe is Riverside

Act 2, Scene 1

Scene 1. A lane by the wall of the retirement home.

Enter Riverside

Riverside

Can I go foward when my heart is here?

Turn back, dull FOX, and find thy Lugo grounding out.

Riverside throws object a TV, and begins to sob, as Barry Bonds ties the record, FOX stays with the game.

Riverside

Come, bitter conduct, come, unsavoury guide!

Thou desperate pilot, now at once run on

The dashing rocks thy sea-sick weary bark!

Here's to my love!

Drinks poision

Riverside

O true apothecary!

Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die.

Kisses picture of Julio Lugo and dies.

End.

Wow. I'm so happy I don't have a life and I watch every sox game with my lap top. That just made it all worth while.

Gabbard looks excellent. Again. This is not the crummy Royals either. The Chisox season stats are pretty grim, but they've been on fire in July. Kid is making quite a statement.

He still reminds me of Kenny Rogers. The pitcher.

Nothing spectacular but he hits his spots and changes his speeds aggressively. Let's his defense play behind him. I like it.

Well, if JV is going to hit with the sacks full, hitting righty is the way I want it. He could put it away here.

Lowell makes Pedroia and Youks look fast. f*** is he slow.

EDIT: And it turns out he was safe. Figures.

Woe is Riverside, the thrilling conclusion

Act 5, Scene 3.

Scene 3. A churchyard; in it a tomb belonging to the Lugos.

Friar Francona

Riverside!

Advances

Alack, alack, what blood is this, which stains

The stony entrance of this sepulchre?

What mean these masterless and gory swords

To lie discolour'd by this place of peace?

Enters the tomb

Riverside! O, pale! Who else? what, GIARSF too?

And steep'd in blood? Ah, what an unkind hour

Is guilty of this lamentable chance!

The shortstop stirs.

JULIO wakes

JULIO

Go, get thee hence, for I will not away.

Exit FRIAR FRANCONA

What's here? a cup, closed in my true love's hand?

Poison, I see, hath been his timeless end:

O churl! drunk all, and left no friendly drop

To help me after? I will kiss thy lips;

Haply some poison yet doth hang on them,

To make die with a restorative.

Kisses him

Thy lips are warm.

First Baseman Youkilis

Lead, boy: which way?

JULIO

Yea, noise? then I'll be brief. O happy dagger!

Snatching RIVERSIDE's dagger

This is thy sheath;

Stabs himself

there rust, and let me die.

Falls on RIVERSIDE's body, and dies

So, given the length of this half-frame and the pad to the lead, do they bring the kid back out for the 8th?

This offense is starting to look pretty damn good now. Just think, people were talking about hitting an iceberg not two days ago. I see no reason to bring Gabbard back out...

Hinske with a triple!

edit: This has all been with two outs, no?

The WS 'pen is the worst in the AL. So, it's good that they are taking advantage of the opportunity, but let's temper our optimism.

I think this game is Piniero proof now.

Coco has been a much different(better) hitter since he altered his stance. Walks will kill you.:D Hopefully the offense will stay hot for about 2.5 more months.

Hey, people were jumping off of bridges when we couldn't eek anything out against the Royals pen. The point was that the offense was putting themselves in the position to score runs, it just wasn't happening, and that it was bound to happen eventually.

I don't care what team it's against -- people were acting as though the struggling was going to continue through the rest of the season. I'm not saying we'll put up 10 runs a game but the offense is coming around and starting to take advantage of the opportunities they've given themselves.

I agree. It's good to see. And, take a look at the stats for the Royals 'pen. It will open your eyes. They are quite good.

Yeah, I just checked that out, actually. In the upper half of the AL, and just about upper third of the league. Pretty surprising.
