If they can't beat good teams now, how can they do it in october when theyll be even more worn down from the long season. This is depressing.

The gun is always slow when we go to detroit. Delcarmen was 91-93 last night. Gabbard was 84-86. Both of those guys do better stuff than that.

 

BTW, Pena sucks. That was a catchable ball, especially where he was playing.

I can't stand this team. They're in first f***ing place and they're lucky that they don't have a legitimate number 2 team in the division. After over-achieving for the first two months they've really crash landed back to earth. f*** 'em. They can't hit. And f*** Pena. I used to be an advocate of his, but he can't cut it in his role. It's not his fault, but he's useless to this team.

1) We get swept in Seattle against a team that's been red hot and could possibly make the playoffs.

2) We split a series at HOME against the worst f***ing team in baseball.

3) We raped the DEVIL RAYS...always good, but I wish they could do it against someone else.

4) We're getting our asses handed to us in Detroit and most likely swept.

 

Playoff team? Ha. How is this team even in first place right now? Oh right...there's no legitimate second-place team in the AL East this year.

They didn't overachieve at the beginning of the season either... They had a good rotation, but a good rotation can easily be a bad one when you're talking about having 3 #5 starters in your rotation as opposed to 3 #1's which is exactly the shift we've seen happen. The bullpen is still solid, and right now we're looking at a lineup minus our MVP (youk) and with a cold as Glenn Close Manny Ramirez. It's hard to watch. Trade for Buehrle. Anything it takes.

Manny is absolute s*** right now. I've never seen him play so piss-poorly. It's aggrivating as hell.

I agree completely. Let's hope it is as clear to the FO as it is to us. I hope they make a bigger move than last year's huge Brian Corey acquisition.

It's certainly the worst division in the AL this year. It's worse than the NL East, worse than the NL West....I don't know, it MAY be the worst in the MLB. The first place team is playing like a third place team and still has an 11-game lead. Go figure.
