Am I the only one who remembers April of 2006? It was a nightmare. Plus Wake has said he won't pitch unless Mirabelli catches him.

He hasn't hit for s*** and he's excruciating to watch at the plate. But as long as we have Wake, we'll have Dougie.

Wake has said that? I don't remember that at all. I don't think he'd be opposed to having Varitek catch him...

If he comes out of the bullpen, Varitek can handle it for 3-4 innings at the most. We probably won't have Wake after next year anyway, so it's all good.

Wake is more effective as a SP the a RP. Hopefully we win the WS this yr and he decides to go off into the sunset... Then we can boot dougie tot he curb, problem solved...

The last time he pitched the announcers said that Wake said something like, "When Doug goes, so do I"

NO ONE can catch him like Mirabelli, not even for a few innings.

I agree about him being a more effective SP.

Next year move Wake to the pen' date=' dump Mirabelli and start Buchholz. Either call up Kottaras or sign someone cheap.[/quote']

Only problem with this is that Wake has said when Mirabelli is done, so is he. I'd also be all for Ellsbury for Salty. Ellsbury isn't a once in a decade talent, the kind of Power Salty has for a catch could make for a very rare type of talent.

JD has the same hole in his swing that Pai did when he 1st got to Boston. The low inside stuff. No Papi nails that, hopefully Drew learns it too.

This ump sucks, catcher was set up outside, pitche completely misses his spot and gets the call. Hes called some very low strikes...

This is starting to annoy me as well. I know we don't have our normal starters in (we have a lot of bench players right now), but holy s***...stop striking out so much and GET SOME DAMN RUNS.

Jacoby is looking real good. I was one that said hes better off staying in AAA to refine his skills, but he keeps playing like this they should trade either Coco or WMP and keep him on the big league roster. He looks like he could be that exciting catilyst for this team.
