Vtek needs to work on throwing out runners. He got lucky there as Pedroia really had to bail him out there to make the tag. Tek has been VERY wild with his throws to 2nd on steal attempts.

It's alright. The bats have been clicking...for both teams.

And oh, does anyone else find the Southwest airlines commercial with the little Asian girl singing some song about American freedom annoying? The voice kills my ears. I know it's not very nice...but God that commercial's annoying.

I dont see the need to put all our chips in Buehrle yet as a panic move. We have a sizeable lead, Gabbard wasn't good tonight but he was also quite good his last start. Not known for his control but I dont think he'll be walking 6 guys every game. Id also give Hansack another look since hes been dominant lately in AAA. I do want Buehrle but the price is really high right now and Id rather use our current options.

And were down again

This is just about the time that we started the parade of s*** last year. The danger is that Gabbard has a good start next time out and then has a couple of crappers. Then they try Hansack for a couple and maybe even Lester. Before you know it, the July 31st deadline will pass and then it will become clear that none of our prospects are ready yet and someone else will have scooped up Buehrle. There's no need to panic now, but the FO has to think about fine tuning the team for the playoffs and setting up a strong rotation that can dominate through the post season even if Schilling doesn't make it back. I don't think they should let this chance pass to score a big time pitcher.

I don't like that out from Coco. Hernandez hasn't been pitching well and Coco is hot. Plus with no outs and Cora at 2nd, I'm looking to make the inning as big as possible. Cora has speed, so he could very well score on a single too.

why can't Drew work the count deep with two outs and two men on? Does he have to wave at the first pitch he sees?

I guess he thought he saw a good pitch. If you see a good pitch you swing. End of story.
