I don't give a s*** what you call it. I want this offense to score f***ing runs. Whens the last time we were able to win a game using offense?

What do you mean you don't give a s*** what I call it? Those are breaks. When you say we can't get a break, you're not being accurate. The offense just can't get it done. Sure, it was a bad break for us, but for every break that goes your way, you're going to have one go the other way. In other words, we got 3 breaks that inning, and a boatload in the beginning of yesterday's game.

ugh, keep leaving baserunners. Its not so much that we can't catch a break but that we aren't capitalizing on oppurtunities like that.

get that bullpen warmed up

6 walks, get him out of there...

Thanks for tonight gabbard, pray that Texas throws out a bum starter when youre supposed to pitch next

EDIT: MDC shuts the door on the M's with the bases loaded and 1 out. I really want to see him become a stable part of this bullpen

If the Red Sox medical staff has any question about Schilling's health they should pay the price for Buehrle. We are kidding ourselves to think that a kid with good minor league stats can pitch consistently in a major league rotation. The solution is not Lester either. When he came up last year we had to endure lots of full counts and walks and pitch counts of 100 by the 4th inning. I'd rather not start with the parade of kids and has beens every time the 5th slot comes around. You can't be conceding the 5th spot as a forfeit every time around. Gabbard will probably get another start before they banish him to the minors.

We were Ooohin and Ahhing about King Felix and his potential the last time we saw him. Since then he has been injured and very, very human. He's got a long way to go to develop the consistency to be a marquee pitcher. Stuff means nothing at the major league level unless you can develop consistency.

Agreed. I doubt the Buehrle talks are officially over. It's in the White Sox' best interest to get a deal for Buehrle done now; as the deadline comes closer they'll get less value for him and then be stuck with him if they're stubborn for too long. I still think this deal gets done. I agree; Gabbard has another opportunity to show that he can give us a chance to win without s***ing the bed through 3+ innings. If Lester isn't ready, there's no time like the present to see what Buchholz can do.

I'd obviously rather have Buehrle come in and solidify the rotation though.

I'm a little worried that the FO waits hoping the price comes down as the deadline approaches. If they do that, they run the risk that the Mets or another team swoops in and does the deal, or even worse, if our 5th guys keep s***ing the bed, the price will go up because they will sense the desperation, especially if Schilling doesn't come back strong.

I dont see the need to put all our chips in Buehrle yet as a panic move. We have a sizeable lead, Gabbard wasn't good tonight but he was also quite good his last start. Not known for his control but I dont think he'll be walking 6 guys every game. Id also give Hansack another look since hes been dominant lately in AAA. I do want Buehrle but the price is really high right now and Id rather use our current options.

And were down again

Crisp shouldve let Hinske get the catch, although not by a big comparison... hinske does have a better arm. Not saying he wouldve been out, but maybe a closer play

6-4, MDC is showing essence of gabbard this inning
