I think after last nights performance MDC should get more and more opportunities to prove himself. He looked really really good with a 96-97 MPH FB and a nasty Curve. It really looks like he has things figured out. Also what are the other RH options right now, Timlin is atrostious and Delcarmen could be huge for us down the stretch.

MDC's control is still inconsistent

and hence why he cannot be given a much bigger role off one appearance. Say what you want about Manny D, but he has an equal chance of walking the park as he does of getting 3 outs. Disprove this over a long enough period of time and then place him in a setup role. Until then, mopup duty it is.

as is most of last year's bullpen thats sitting in Pawtucket, that's why you don't see the Beslow's and Hansen's of the minors being called up as much instead going to the veterans like Piniero and Donnelly

Redundant as hell but we need a win tonight. It's time we start building some new momentum of our own. I wonder if the Rockies are going to be able to take the measure of the Yankees in their three game series. They get Fogg the first game, the same pitcher we were supposed to hammer last time and didn't. Just to play it same we need to give Josh Beckett great support and he need's to pitch a gem tonight.

The real men of genius mojo didn't work last night, but let's give it one more chance with a boston twist!

horse mojo

Damn straight. Because Beckett's a f***in' horse.

 I realized how ridiculous it was as I was doing my last minute scramble for some mojo.

Nice K for beckett.

What the f*** has gotten into Willie Harris?

Good thing Beckett got McCann out of there on that next pitch. His pitch count is currently x + 1, where x is the number of pitches officially thrown, because of that "time" call. Way too late to call that.

Anyway, good start. Beckett always settles down after the first inning so giving up nothing was big for him there.
