this is a smart idea. Move Manny to 3rd because he is on base 40% of the time and drive Manny home. Then again' date=' Papi is on track to have one more AB w/runners on than he did last yr, so I think it is a bit different. He just needs to hit the ball out again.[/quote']

I just don't understand how the rest of the team can be fluid in terms of where they hit, but Ortiz and Ramirez are somehow exempt. Doesn't make sense. If drew can leadoff then Manny can hit 3rd if it makes sense.

I guess they are in a decline.

I would put down 100 dollars saying that they will both have 30+ homers and 110+ RBI. They will both get hot, I say Manny has 17 jacks by the allstar game.

What about the power drop? I am not saying they are hurting the team. I am just saying that David and Manny's drop in power has made the sox lineup a bit easier to pitch to.

I think this is a snowball effect jack....There arent runners on base, there is no pressure on the pitchers, so they arent seeing as many hittable pitches. Manny and David are much harder to pitch to from the stretch, with runners on base or with runners in scoring position. A lot of times David gets up with 2 outs already......then Manny leads off the next inning. We have 3 guys holding this team down pretty bad right now....thats 33% of the lineup sucking ass. If those guys get on base at some point I expect Manny and David to return to the norm.

Since you bring that up Chin tomorrow could be a storm test for your take on things. We are facing Greg Maddux, a future Hall of Famer, but a pitcher on the backend of his career. It is very important to get men in front of Papi and Manny on base because just about everybody knows that Maddux does not like runners on base, has trouble holding runners on, and you can run on him. We most definately want him in a stretch when those two guys come up to the plate. As I told you and the rest of the crew earlier I will be down in SD for the series and would like to have some good news to report when I come home on Monday. The Yankees losing today certainly doesn't hurt our cause at all.

I' date=' for one, totally blame Papi and Manny for the Sox being in first place by 10 1/2 games. Slack ass bastards.....[/quote']

haha, I second that.
