I'd do that every day of the week. A righty power hitter who has 10 homers already for a guy whose OPS is mid .600s? Absolutely.

 

The only reason why the Sox would want to do this is to add a potential power hitter with speed. But Abreu's power is down. Getting Dye could be huge assuming Abreu isnt on his way up (after the last series especially).

Bobby Abreu might be on the way up but I can't believe the White Sox would make this trade. Jermaine Dye is coming off a great season and still showing that power he had last year. Based on the Yankees issues the White Sox shouldn't do them any favors, and ask for more than just Bobby Abreu.
