He's been good? 2 ip 2 er 3 hits 50 pitches he sucks. I agee Willy Mo is a statue in CF but Taverez is the anti Wakefield, only beats the Yankees everyone else tee's off on the guy. Got to admit he did get out of it only down a run deserves props for that.

JT didn't do that bad a job. The 2nd single was just a perfectly placed ball on a perfectly called hit and run. Nothing you can do there. His only big mistake was the triple by Ellis.

Let's not forget Hansack and David Pauley. I don't think we want to get into a parade of auditioning kids and retreads like last year. Tavarez is nothing great, but the answer is not a parade of untested kids. We may have to pick up an established starter before the trading deadline if Tavarez continues to under perform.

He's been awful all year. I wouldn't call it a snap response.

 

That being said, he probably would be more effective in the bullpen. So, "release" is a bit too strong a reaction.

Ha i'm not a fan like that. Taverez is just garbage. Like 70 pitches in 3 innings. Not here asking for Pauley or Hansack. Simply asking for Gabbard who looked good vs the Braves or Lester or Bucholtz. You do relize Snyders going to be pitching within the next hour cause Taverez pitch count is up? What good does that do in a 4 game series?
