Crespblows? What about Giambi shooting up in the ondeck circle? Your right, nothing would have happened, other than a suspension from baseball and being arrested and charged with using an illegal substance...

Being showered with praise and adoration from loving fans, of course.

Although, sometimes it was death. RIP Ken.

I've always been amused by the San Diego fans that wear Caminiti jerseys and shout insults at Bonds' steroid usage.

This would happen.

The other, legally, could not be enforced.

It was "illegal", but with no suspension put in place, what would happen?

and now the game ends because of another s***** call. Fantastic. We have been f***ed by 2 obvious bad calls on steals of second. Time to get replay.

And, plus, you guys suck. That fact never helps.

I do believe that the drug war is a breach of our rights, but baseball has the right to do what ever it wants (so long as its not against the law) because it's a private business. If they wan't to ban illegal drugs, fine.

Page 2 - steroids mentioned specifically.

I don't see mention of a sentence for using the drugs.

Let's say the government banned alcohol, but had no punishment for committing the infraction. What exactly could they do about it?

Even if Giambi was caught in 2003, he still would have been allowed to play Game 7.

Wow, ORS really is nailing this s***. So steroids were explicitly banned from the 90s on. That pretty much destroy's your argument, Crespblows. Point, Giambi and other roids users cheated. I don't give a flying f*** if they admit it or not. They cheated.

They cheated, but they still would have been able to play that game.

First sentence, second paragraph, first page.

Like I said, it was more of statement than anything. Although, it did have teeth. It left adjudication in the hands of the commissioner, second paragraph again, but I don't think they intended it to be used.

if MLB cared at all about catching steroid users, they couldve come up with whatever punishment they wanted since they're a banned substance. saying they couldn't do s*** cause there's no set punishment is a dumb argument

BUT, it explicitily says that if the individual caught using illegal drugs doesn't stop using drugs. So if they caught him and he continued use, then he would be "permanently removed from the game"

That was so set in stone, that they threw Mark McGwire out of the game for using steroids.

Oh, wait....

Pretty much sums it up. I don't even need 42 paragraphs to explain it. Or Baseball America stats.

Exactly' date=' Okajima is Paps' main setup man... why use him in a 5 run lead when he has already been used so frequently?[/quote']

I don't think we'll see Paps tonight.

True on that. They should have gone to jail though, too bad the law doesn't apply to athletes...

Granted, I don't believe in criminalizing any substances that don't put others directly into harm (such as a ton of plutonium should be illegal)
