I still dont get how a man who went 49-0 could be anywhere but 1st. Marciano was the toughest SOB to step into the ring.

Maybe so but you have to take into account what Ali meant out of the ring.

Can't argue with a guy who won 175 fights in his career, even with his 19 losses. A lot of the losses came towards the end of his career, if I recall correctly from reading about him in the past.

Sugar Ray Robinson is a good choice for number one. Probably could've gone to him or Ali. I, too, think Marciano should be higher.

Ali should be first mainly for what he did in the ring and out. Even though he lost the championship, the guy won it five times. Talk about resilient.

Marciano and Sugar Ray should be #2 and #3, in no respective order. Either or.

marciano was a 187lb heavyweight who was slow and didnt have much pop

the stratedgy of sitting back and letting the opponent punch himself out wouldve gotten him a date with the eye surgeon had he fought someone decent under 40

he didnt

aaron pryor was 40-0 with 2 wins over alexis arguello before the pipe caught up to him

arguello was the best lb for lb fighter i had seen till that point

duran at 132 lbs was invincible

ray robinson as a welterweight was awesome and nearly unbeatable as a middleweight

marvin hagler was the best middleweight i ever saw, never saw him take a step back in 14 years of fighting and the only blemishes on his record was questionable decisions to say the least, outright f***ing to be more to the point.

mike spinks the best light heavy, going undefeated during the golden era of lightheavys and beat the likes of mathew saad muhammed(matt franklin),eddie mustafa(eddie gregory)muhammed, dwight muhammed quawi(dwight braxton) and pops johnson(marvin johnson)

ali the best heavyweight, the only man who could knock someone out going backwards

fought all of them, beat all of them and missed his prime due to his religious stance on vietnam..

I know alot of you know Mike Tyson from his early days but IMO Mike Tyson being on this list is a joke. Marciano is ranked right where he should be. No disrespect but if he fought a Joe Louis in his prime he would last about 5 rounds with him. I also agree with Crunchy when it comes to Hagler. He got shafted not only on this list but in a couple of decisions.

hagler put 110 stitches in vito antuofermos face the same nite ray leonard beat wilfred benitez for the title

leonard won via TKO with 10 seconds left in the 15th round

hagler got a draw

marvin got f***ed every time he let the judges decide a fight

He also had a notorious predeliction for the white goddess and a guy I knew at the time was w/ him partaking of this particular vice for 2 days straight prior to the 87' Leonard match. This is the same guy who walked in on Hagler banging his girlfriend in their Brockton apt. He quietly left the building.
