Tough loss but I can stand losses with Tavarez on the hill' date=' with the way the other 4 guys are pitching.[/quote']

I can't losses with Taverez on the hill because it reminds me so much of Francona's throwaway games the past two seasons when he went to our non-existent bench and rested most of the regulars. I would like to see a new fifth starter and would love it to be Jon Lester. I just wonder how close he is to getting back with us, or is Tito going to be stubborn about it and keep sending out the guy with the 6.60 ERA out there every day?

You don't post until the Sox lose?

WTF.

Anyways tough loss tonight, after a charmed road trip they struggled at home. No big deal, I fully expect Schilling to win tomorrow.

Kilo, I have been spending most of my time on Dirt Dogs the past week, but if we can see our way clear to get a Red Sox win tomorrow I will be more than pleased to post a comment or two. We did have a nice road trip now that you mention it and the Yankees also lost tonight so things aren't as bad as they first seemed.

Schill on the hill! Tomorrow looks like a W....someone mentioned the yankee loss! Jackson give some insight as to what is going on with the Bronx Zoo!

I mentioned it, but did anyone bother to mention that once again Wily Mo Pena was a disaster in the outfield? A misplayed double over his head, and a ball of his glove for two base error in that critical fifth inning that led to three runs. Is there anyone out there that still insists this guy can play RF at Fenway, or any outfield position without either blowing a game or giving us all heart palpatations? The only one, apparently, is does is our stubborn shithole manager who keeps pusing the Pena button time and again. The grandslam he got against Baltimore? The four hits a few days later? Curses in disguise because it guaranteed him more chances to screw up in the field, and, believe me, this will happen again and again as long as this white elephant is part of our team.

I thought a good night's sleep might cool me off where this guy is concerned but, no way Jose, it did not. Somehow, someway, this guy along with Taverez have got to go. I smelled a rat last night as soon as I heard Pena was in RF. I was hoping better from Taverez because I like the guy.

that grand slam that won the game for the sox was just a curse for us?

Riverside, read from that curve reference on. You can get it. It means that those two good games will result in him getting more chances to play in the field and more and more and more chances to screw up in the field. I said it before and hope there are some who agree with me, but Pena will cost us more than he will get for us.

Now, let's look ahead to today's game and root for Schilling to pitch a gem and get good offensive support, and hope to blazes that Pena is nowhere near that field this afternoon.

Fred, come the f*** on. The guy's started like 4 games all year.

We all know he's a liability in right, but in center he's actually average.

He's gonna be important when Drew or Crisp need a day off in the summer.

Kilo, before I forget--good Blog!!!! Enjoyed reading your take on the games. As for Pena, yes, we will probably have to use him to give Drew and Crisp a rest from time to time, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to be on pins and needles when a ball goes out to him. At any rate, today was a horse of a different color as we came back after the Orioles rallied and won the game going away. I'm glad they brought Lopez back up. He wasn't doing a bad job in ST. I kind of thought he was better than one or two of the guys we kept.
