Yesss Sox win! 23-10

Offense keeps it rolling, outscored the Blue Jays 26-5

Starting pitching... Im just in awe. Wake improves to 4-3 with a 1.79 ERA. Wake now has the lowest ERA in the AL, Sox first team with 4 starting pitchers getting 4 wins apiece

Onto Fenway Park against the Orioles

Julian Tavarez vs Brian Burress

Curt Schilling vs Steve Trachsel

Josh Beckett vs Jeremy Guthrie

this 3 game stretch was absolutely insane, I thought our sweep of the Angels would be the most dominating one of the season, this trumps it. amazing that they had to use Okajima tonight due to an extended period of the bullpen not being in any pressure situation

Let's hope we can put them in that situation often this year!B)

im simply blown away by how well everything is clicking. theres absolutely no weakness to this team right now, unless you count blowout bullpen performance

The season is abotu peaks and valleys. Your valleys have to come at some point. Right?

They'll have valleys, but I don't see them being very deep or very long with the rotation.

clearly this pace won't keep up all year but that's why I said right now there are no weaknesses to this team, and there really arent

gotta love seeing highlights of the game and the box score on the Jays postgame show..."Youkalis". yea, really professional

the only way you have a long valley is if you get beaten or injured. Your rotation will keep you from giving away too many games. And you give games away the best with a poor rotation. Right now, your rotation can do no wrong.

They don't have to come but at some point they will. How long the valley will be is the question.

your bullpen got Papelbon and your middle relief hardly gets work. If your rotation falters, your bullpen will show.

starter Okajima/Donneley then Papelbon that's the way the game should be, right?

Thanks for the advice, expert.

Anyway, on to the 10 game homestand! I'd be worried about the teams coming in (minus the O's) but we're playing perfectly right now. This is the perfect time to welcome some good competition. I'm psyched.

There's guy named Okajima, Id say he's been better then being called as part of the middle relief

If the rotation stay healthy, you actually believe like Gom they will all flop and be sub .500 the rest of the year?

The Sox couldn't play any better right now they are on a tear of late. The bats in the whole series against Toronto were deadly it was nice to see them rip apart Halladay tonight as well I didn't think we were even going to score as many runs as we did. It kinda surprise me. Either way we got a win and that's all that matters. Now bring on Baltimore. GO SOX GO.

I didnt pick the sox to finish third. If the rotation stays healthy (which is still a pretty big if) then you guys are locked and loaded with a 7 game lead and will be really tough to beat.

At least you didn't say this Jacksonian:

Your post was solid, but the Beckett trade could quite possibly be the worst trade your team has made since Sparky Lyle for David Cater. You would still do it? Amazing.

Even early in the season I would say this is one of the silliest things I've read. It was silly at the time and even moreso now.

The Beckett trade is looking like a pretty sweet trade right now. Sanchez has come back down to earth and ya, we gave away Hanley, but we got Beckett. Beckett is doing amazing and is looking like he might be cy young. Lowell was solid last year, 2nd for Gold Glove and productive. So far this year, Lowell has been tearing the cover off the ball. So ya, I'd say it was a pretty sweet trade. I like pitching.

Beckett trade is still up in the air. Right now it looks like a good trade for both teams. Beckett has been one of the best in the league, and Hanley won ROY last year and is on a tear again. Mike Lowell vs. Anibal Sanchez puts the deal in our favor at the moment.

with the premium placed on pitching these days, the Beckett deal looks incredible. Ramirez was a hell of a prospect but to get a Cy Young-calibre pitcher at the age of 25 is a tremendous feat for any FO
