The wheels stay on. He didn't allow a run that inning. He could have allowed 4 if he was really rattled. Not to mention the 1 hit in 4 innings.

I am not saying he is terrible. Just saying that he is still a kid and although he has shown some tendencies to have patience, he is still a young kid who is hacking at pitches that he'd be taking in 2 or 3 yrs.

I agree. He has nice potential, but he isnt there yet. Just like you'd tell me if I told you Hughes was going to come up and dominate the league right away. You'd say, most likely, but in time.

Pedroia is 3rd on the team in PPA, ahead of Manny, Youk, and Drew, guys respected for their patience. He's not a hacker.
