he's a power armed guy who flew up the minors until he stalled in AAA and then had a myriad of injury issues. He's about run out of chances, but he has been pitching well.

 

3 of his last 4 starts have gone 7+IP

Thanks. How about BB's and WHIP though? The one problem I keep seeing with these pitchers that they've called up this year (especially DeSalvo and Clippard), is that they can't seem to throw the ball over the plate.

Ugh, right down the middle...Joe really has to cut his losses with Igawa. Igawa has given up all his hits on two strike counts. It seems like the inability to put guys away is always a problem with this staff.

 

Jackson, do you know if Torre said anything about Mo's availability for today?

Bruney is good, he has great stats. Not great control, but he is a solid guy to have. I dont like Myers or Farnsworth.

There is a reason why Arizona let go of him. Take a look at his WHIP's from the past few years. If he's not walking people, he's always behind in the count.

 

EDIT: Haha, that may have been the luckiest strikeout I've ever seen. Nothing like getting the guy to chase an offspeed pitch at his eyes.
