The Sox need to get out of the f***ing cold-weather road trip and get home to the friendly confines. Personally I hate watching games where they play Texas and KC (and ANA). They always seem to crap the bed in those stadiums.

Just got home but was listening in the car. Horrific. Simply horrific. And to top it off, ARod hit a walkoff granny?

Whats going on?

Ummm, the Sox threw Tavarez against Texas' #1 pitcher and it didn't work out for them. Meanwhile, Steroid Sosa hit a bomb, Michael Young had an inside the park "bomb" and the rest has just been sort of normal baseball stuff.

Okajimi doesn't even look when he releases the ball...

He looks at SOMETHING, but it ain't Varitek. I wonder if anyone has talked to him about that: "Hideki (through translator) here in the United States we encourage pitchers to look at the plate when they deliver the pitch." I've never seen that before, to be honest.

Does he just do that when he throws a curve, or all the time?

Good inning from Hideki in a non-pressure situation.

but he did give up some deep fly ball outs... I wonder how far they would have gone if it wasn't below 0 degrees in Texas... ok ok its about 45 or so degrees

I'm pretty sure it's all the time because it's his "normal" delivery...

At what point does WMP get up off his ass and take a swing?

When they want a strikeout... damn it, he could start if he didn't strikeout so damn much...

Posted
Mahay is out there pitching like there's no batter in the box. Just warming up, throwing strikes with no fear of the ball being hit anywhere.

f*** YOU Lugo was safe... this game is ********...

EDIT: I can't wait for the Home Opener...

He can still produce over Mirabelli who last year was the worst hitter with at least 200 ABs, and Coco Crisp who is now on a "torrid" 2 for 17 streak (.116 avg)

It's only a game. It's only a game. It's only a game.

Right now this team is making me nervous with their inabillity to get rallys going. Of course, baseball isn't meant to be played in 35 degree temperatures this regularly--not an excuse, but it kind of eliminates the 'benefit' of playing a game in a warmer climate to start the season.

FWIW, Coco has hit 2 balls really hard today, neither of them landed but they were good rips.

EDIT: If I'm Tito I would think about switching coco and pedroia's spots in the order, just because I would rather pedroia be up more often than Coco and Coco would get to be a 2nd leadoff hitter.

True, but you know how it is being a fan...

True then pitchers would have to worry about situations with Lugo on 1st/Coco on 2nd

This team will score its share of runs, but it will slump because of the spotty production from the bottom half of the lineup. Add Helton to this lineup and it is a juggernaut. We need another big stick that will work the count and extend the lineup. It was a stupid move to pass on him. Please don't talk to me about the $ after everthying we spent this winter.
