Hey everyone,

 

First post here and just wanted to introduce myself. I live in the Washington DC area but my family is from Springfield Mass, and I've been a Sox fan my whole life. I'm sure from my name you can tell who my favorite player its and also that I'm a virginiatech hokie. Don't get the game on tv around here today but here's to us winning (i actually have tickets to the nats game today and will be checking the score from there. GO SOX!

I don't know of any bars in this area, I wish there were!

 

I don't know where Pap58 lives or if he's old enough to drink. I, on the other hand am ancient and one of the very few female posters on the board.

 

It's nice to know there are good places up there. I have a brother that lives in Burke.

Yeah, the one that I usually go to is in Georgetown. Its called Rhino Bar and I would probably not go there if they didn't have the game on - but they have some good sized TVs which is key in addition to other Sox fans.

Sounds cool. I have the baseball package and watch most games at home, but I'm moving to a new place soon and there's a sports bar close by and I've heard the owner or manager are Sox fans. I'll have to check it out.

Wow, the Nats game last night was the coldest baseball game I've ever been to. I've been to colder football games, but RFK last night was freezing. I made it to the 8th inning before the wind picked up and I couldn't take it anymore. If the Sox were playing I would have stuck it out, but the wind picked up and it was freezing and I even brough coat, gloves, etc... I thought it was spring already.

I bet it was tough to make it to the 8th. I think it's supposed to be colder tonight and there is a chance for snow. Weird Spring when games are getting snowed out. Bring on the warmth Mother Nature!

How welcoming You see V-Tek this is one of those annoying NYY fans and I do know two very cool NYY fans, but it's a rarity......
