Franconia Elem (1-4)/Fairfax Villa (5-6)

Robinson Secondary (7-12)

I used to play Bball for Braddock Rd youth sports leagues. Many, many games and practices at Cardinal Forrest.

Thom Jeff, right? Edison was just a regular HS on Franconia Rd close to the elementary school I went to for 1-4.

Really? When I lived off Franconia Rd the older kid across the street went to Edison. This was like 1980. I'm pretty sure Thomas Jefferson HS, off Braddock Rd, was the 10-12 smaht kid school. I tested to go there and got in, but they offered the same cirriculum at Robinson, so I stayed there.

you met up with my girl lynda??

we met her in camden yards with her brother rico(a scotch bred kid from va who got the nickname rico for old rico petrocelli)

we were on a bender with nothing but alcohol running thru our veins

she and her brother invite us to his home outside springfield va in a beautiful home and neighborhood..class people, dedicated sox fans

Lynda seemed like a delightful woman and I could tell right off she was a real fan. Her brother was all Red Sox as well. Of course, when you said dedicated Sox fans what else more was needed to validate her as a person?

lyndas sis in law took 3 stone drunk boston degenerates into her home

fed us and essentially turned the house over to us as her and rico left forthe nite

this behavior isnt common in my world

in fact if 3 men from va showed up with my sis in law drunk??

theres a good chance my neighbors would rob them

or worse,id rob them

anyways

it sucked waking up 100 miles south of baltimore on a sunday with a 2 day drunken hangover but i was impressed by the hospitality

I take it you have learned the error of your ways and have repented.

we are all one big dysfunctional family.

No wonder I feel so at home around here.

BTW Jackson, I leave for Boston on Monday and hopefully the Red Sox will have a winning record when they step on the field Tuesday in their Home Opener. I think I will see Beckett on the mound if we stay with a five man rotation up until then.

Which game are you going to? If they go with Tavarez on Saturday, then Beckett will pitch on Tuesday and Matsuzaka on Wednesday.

Schill, I am going to the three game series with the Mariners, and the first one with the Angels. I got the package through "Red Sox Destinations" which is the only way for me to go since I live way out here in Southern California and not willing to take a chance of coming on my own and trying to buy tickets that are so hard to come by.

Are you going to be at any of the games? Let me know and maybe we can hook up for an hour or two. Just for the record, I am NOT some millionaire dillitante with a lot of bread to throw around. I was a teacher for 35 as was my wife and we tried to save some money and make a few very modest investments. Finding the Red Sox in late 2000 pretty much determined how I was going to use some of the money I saved. Hence, I try to make two or three trips every year.

You or anyone else can help me by answering this question. Suppose I just flew into Boston for a Yankee series. Is there any way on earth I could buy a sparce ticket from a broker or a scalper or someone?

Yeah' date=' sure, scalpers are always around. Just be ready to pay $300/ticket minimum most likely.[/quote']

Well I guess going through Red Sox Destinations is my best choice after all. I had heard there were ticket brokers who charged a high rate but not out of the atmosphere. I also heard the the RSD Packages for theYankee Series' both at the Stadium and Fenway were sold out so it looks as if I would have to pay through the nose to see the Sox and Shankees at Fenway. Never have. I have seen five games between the teams at YS and not to jinx our guys I won't tell you how those games came out but if you can vision a guy grinning ear to ear you have some idea.
