Hope the Sox bats can get a jump on Felix who hasnt pitched since the home opener wayy back on April 2. Hey a guy can dream. Not saying it will be a walk in the park, the kid is just nasty.

 

The Mariners bats will be back (well after Beckett 2 hit them for 7 innings) but they now have the challenge of facing Matsuzaka. Anyone think Ichiro will really be out now to make an impression on Dice-K, especially since yesterday he had 3 swinging K's against Beckett

 

Beckett and the fact that a 7 run deficit stared them in the face by the 3rd. Beckett isnt the kind of pitcher you beat by getting behind and hoping to slug your way to a W. Beckett is a power pitcher and as such, you let him get himself in trouble. Chip away, and eventually you get him out of the game early or you slowly get a few runs against him. When you are handed a 7 run deficit against a power pitcher, there is no chance of coming back.

Today will be a battle. King Felix is a very good pitcher. Should a fun game. And another thing' date=' give Matsuzaka a month before you proclaim him the next MLB ace. You did the same thing with Beckett last yr and he got raked by the end of April.[/quote']

 

Oh I'm not jumping the gun on Dice K. He won't be the Ace for a while. I'm just very happy with his debut. Once he plays a few more starts, then I can analyze more about him.
