I've always enjoyed listening to Gammons because he loves baseball and I know he is a Red Sox fan, but if you check his predictions the past ten years you will find that he has been as out to lunch as Phillips has. Predictions are hard to make for anyone, but what pisses me off is that some of these pundits act like they know it all and wind up talking down to us. Rosenthal bugs the hell out of me, too. In fact, I would like it a whole lot better if they would just report and not try to act like prognosticators because usually they look pretty foolish when all the counting is done.

Hansen looked absolutely horrible this last time out. Hitting guys, walking guys. What the fuk is he doing out there? He throws with the oddest arm motion, it was weird when he first came up, but now its just plain funny. He is all fkd up.

he needs a good season in AAA to sort out his mechanics and work on his confidence as well. Hell even start him in AA if you have too, maybe he goes on a tear and gets his confidence back. I think there is no way he should be on the ML team opening day, or for the hole season for that matter, unless he does a complete 180 in the minors.

Agreed. I loved his potential but he has a long way to go. Last year really didn't do him any favors. Hopefully with all the arms, al beit, mostly mediocre arms in the bully Hansen can spend a year or two developing into a pitcher, not just a thrower.
