thank you my friend. 3/4 of that was from memory. I have a very good memory for numbers. Hence why business suits me well.

Whoah jackson where did I compare the 2006 lineup to the 2003 lineup?

I admitted that the 2003 offense no doubt was a great, at the same time I believe the 2007 lineup will be very good, then i listed why 2007 would be better than last years. Look at Drew's last 3 seasons, look at Trot's last 3 seasons, upgrade or downgrade? Look at Gonzo's offensive career, then look at Lugo's offensive career, upgrade or downgrade?

Again about Pedroia

4 for 41 (.091 avg) Debut

14 for 49 (.276 avg) Rebound, hmm maybe he started to settle down after bigs jitters?

Well, that isnt terribly true BSN. Most teams have some sort of idea going into a season who will be in the important roles, namely closer and SU man.

NYY- Rivera, Proctor/Farns

TOR- Ryan, League

BAL- Ray, Baez

TB- they suck

CWS- Jenks, McDougal

DET- Zumaya, Jones

CLE- Borowski, Hernandez

MIN- Nathan, Rincon

KC- Dotel, Riske

OAK- Street, Duchsherer

ANA- KRod, Shields

TEX- Gagne, Otsuka

SEA- Putz, ??? (idiots dealt away Soriano).

ATL- Wickman, Gonzalez, Soriano

PHI- Gordon, Geary

NYM- Wagner, Sanchez, Heilman

FLA- ?????????

WAS- Cordero, Rauch

STL- Isringhausen, Wainwright

CHI- Dempster, Howry

HOU- Lidge, Qualls, Wheeler

PIT- Torres, Capps

MIL- Cordero, Turnbow?

SF- Benitez, Correia

SD- Hoffman, Linebrink, Meredith

LA- Saito, Broxton

COL- Fuentes, ???

ARI- Julio, Medders

You look at the above list and really the only two teams without a closer right now are FLA and TB. FLA actually had a heavily relied upon reliever take the bump and put up a solid ERA. Every single team with a name listed had at least one BP guy who they turned to whose ERA was 3.5 or below, many of the above teams had 2. Most BP have a very good clue about what they are going to do about their bullpen. Sometimes it doesnt work out and sometimes you get surprised by what you find. But most every team has a framework in place by now.

Jackson, while you may totally be right on this lets bring this list back at the end of the season, and see which guys fall off and who appears in there places like happens all the time besides in NY and SD. So make sure to mark this one down for us!

I agree, about 25% of that list will have gone to the shitter, but for the most part, you look at the guys who have been doing it for a few yrs now and you will see good teams.

True and also teams are stockpiling arms now a days, I mean some teams have 2 or so quality closers (ATL- Wickman, Gonzalez, STL- Isring, Wainwright, MIL- Cordero, Turnbow, LA- Saite, Broxton, OAK- Steet, Duchsherer[pretty good last year], BAL- Ray, Baez, TEX- Gagne, Otsuka)... there's 7 teams right there who have more than 1 quality closer... well atleast more than one guy who can close... I give ATL credit on the arms they got this off season... they should have a turn around season...

i read a blog on ESPN.com that said that hansack could possibly bethe closer for this year. I never thought about that. idk if itll happen, but it could...... i can see him putting up some papelbon stuff

It's been mentioned somewhat, because without a legit closer in place anyone will be given a shot at the closer role.

Did you just say you can see him putting up some Papelbon stuff? I don't expect to ever see someone do what Papelbon accomplished last year ever again.

I really believe that hansack is going to be thr closer this year, maybe not right out of the gates, but at some point. To think he'll be as good as Paps is having your head in the sky a bit. I could see him being pretty good, but a level or so below Paps. Maybe I'm thinking with my head in the sky, well see.
