you cannot successively evaluate the talent we let go b/c they would have performed differently in the high-pressure town of boston and as we all know, rookie starters are natuarlly more successful in the NL for obvious reasons

 

beckett is still young and is yet to hit prime, he had a decent start, and a foundation to build off of

 

you shouldnt be saying anything bad about lowell cause he was a great pickup b/c we got a great glove at 3b and he produced more than we thought

Clemens will most likely want to join a team midway through the season. So you can either have 5 some seasons of Beckett or half of a season of Clemens. Its not that hard of a decision.
