You've faked trying to commit suicide for sympathy?

Anyway, there may be a legitimate argument for him trying to kill himself. After surgery you can be in such an incoherent state of mind and know nothing about what's going on. I fell asleep 3 more times after I first woke up from surgery on my knee because I was so out of it. My surgery was over a good 8 hours before I actually left the hospital (had I been awake and steady right off the bat, I could have left less than an hour after my surgery was over). I wouldn't be surprised if this was a legit accident. Besides, T.O. has no reason to kill himself...he's got money and an elite career going for him. I'm not saying he didn't fake it, I'm just saying he was probably out of it, got some pills confused with other things, took too many, and doesn't even remember what happened when he said "yes" to the police in that he tried to harm himself.

...or I could be wrong and he totally did fake it, I just wouldn't be surprised if he didn't.

Christ... are people going to criticize him over this, too?

Maybe, instead of some elaborate ploy to get the media and fans on his side... the guy really has a problem and is screaming out for help. :dunno:

I watched the press conference, I buy his excuse. The publicist however, I think was full of s***. I sincerely doubt the Police Report was full of lies.

I believe him.

He needs to fire his publicist because she had, pretty much, the opposite effect -- and I would think that that's not exactly what you're looking for when you go out and get a publicist.

I agree with Youk, though. Nothing like this should ever be taken lightly and played off as an attempt to get attention. I'm not so sure he did attempt suicide, though. Cry for help? Could be if this is indeed the case. But the guy looks at his coach wrong and he's the top story on Sportscenter -- he doesn't need to attempt suicide to keep himself in the public eye.

Besides' date=' T.O. has no reason to kill himself...he's got money and an elite career going for him. [/quote']

Unfortunately money (and an elite career) doesn't make a person's life complete and fulfilling. There are many people with lots of $$ and what would seem to be the "perfect" life who are absolutely miserable with the life they have. Money (a great deal of it) seems to complicate things for a lot of people.

Well' date=' I remember his publicist saying he has "25 million reasons to live." Referring to, of course, his $25 million deal with the Cowboys.[/quote']

Another reason I don't like his publicist. I do not think she should have said that -- it just seemed to be in very bad taste.

money is the reason he didnt try to kill himself??

no

did he really mistake his painkillers for vitamin supplements??

no

did he really try to kill himself??

not by taking a handfull of percocettes then calling 911 then swallowing the last pill in front of the paramedic as was reported yesterday

is he crying for attention??

big time

this douchebag has a press conference on his lawn last year when he held out from philly and proceeded to do 100 situps in front of the reporters??

this is the guy who had to spike the ball on the dallas star not once but twice??

im happy hes in texas

its where he belongs while alive

This is the guy who can't look at his coach wrong without being the top story on Sportscenter. He doesn't need to fake suicide to get the attention.

hes a f***ing nitwit

an ******* amongst *******s

the only bigger nitwits are the reporters who flock to his house to watch him do calistetics and the gms that actually think he can contribute to a teams success without becoming a cancer

Nah, something like that happened in my school. Different thing though.

I wouldn't be surprised if his publicist made a big deal out of something not so big. Remember, the people around TO who don't normally get attention will get it in something like this. If the publicist wanted attention, well, she got it.

Dallas Police have closed the investigation and have deemed it an "Accidental Overdose"' date=' and not an attempt at suicide.[/quote']

Accidental Overdose is just the name they use when celebrities attempt suicide.

There aren't many pros to comitting suicide, and one big con. Now he may not be a smart man, but he does know what death is. I think it was just a really ackward situation that because he's TO, gets a lot of publication.

suicide is a long term solution to what usually is a short term problem

i heard that 9-1-1 call the publicist made

she seemed legitimitely concerned about the situation

that being said

if t/o did take an entire bottle of pain killers i doubt he would be on the practice field in an upright position 36 hours after he swallowed them

poor guy was upset

his feelings were hurt

his girl friend left him and he couldnt attend his sons b'day party

thats a great reason to swallow a bottle of pills isnt it??

`In the 911 call she basically just said he took too many pills, and the guy responded that an ambulance would be their soon. She never once suggested suicide. You can hear it on espn.com

i heard it

you dont think she was in panic??

throw out the police report

thats essentially a crock of ******** 99.9% of the time but the women who called 911 did seem very concerned based on her tone

Of course she was in a panic. I never said she wasn't. I'm just saying she never once suggested suicide.

i see it this way

he was pouting like a 12 year old girl on the rag

devastated that his woman left him and

sad that he missed the 7yr old kid he abandoned's birthday

he gets his publicists attention and then tells her hes had it and swallows a couple of perks and she gets nervous, sees the empty bottle and calls 911

owens,feeling nobody loves him

appreciates the attention and gets a ride in the ambulance

the dallas cops of course are looking for some skin of a pro athelete and they blow this thing waaaaaaaaay out of proportion

and here we are today

wondering why football people would let this f***ing maggot on their team
