Game has started, no thread open yet. I've never done this before so this won't be flashy.

Bos: Tavarez

vs

Tor: Lilly

Let's see if Lilly is dominant against the Sox or if he has finally regressed to the mean, so to speak.

Pedroia leading off again.

Youk robbed

Tavarez any chance you can drill a pitch at the home plate umpire? I dont know as much as you do about the strike zone, but anyone could see the "strike 3" pitch went down to the ground followed by bengie obviously bringing the glove back up like what 10 inches?

EDIT: Tavarez has quite impressed me in his outings as a starter. He's not one to ring up K's but a pitcher who loves to have that gold glove defense behind him (15 groundball outs tonight).

Game ending DP --a complete game victory for Tavarez. The only one by a Red Sox Pitcher this season. Very impressive. He'll get a chance at a spot next spring.

Nice win. Good job by Tavarez. Hey' date=' if we're stuck with him next year he might as well be the #5 guy. Except he's like, what, 37?[/quote']He's 33 without a lot of mileage on his arm.

Tavarez really impressed me tonight. I've quit watching game recently, but he's giving me a reason to watch his last start of the season....

why not give him a shot as the 5th starter next year? I'm still waiting for him to give me reasons as a starter why he shouldnt
