Everybody said he couldn't do well in Washington, his success was due to the Texas park.

This guy is a good baseball player. There is no argument. He makes things happen, he's exciting, and he has massive pop. He swings at everything, but apparently, he hits everything too.

I don't feel like digging up the thread, but before the season started I told you guys he was really good and his talent wasn't just because of the park in Texas. Some of you were comparing Mark Loretta and Trot Nixon to him...

The funny thing is if you look at his stats more closely his numbers were actually down with Texas from his years with the Yankees and now the Nats. `

I'll admit, I thought he'd struggle in that park considering his road split from last year. He's definitely earned himself a big payday going into FA for the first time.

Eh, I'm not sure it will go that high. That's probably what he gets in the '99-'01 market. I know who will most likely land him though. Los Mets. They will have the coin and need a 2B. Minaya will be going bonkers at the thought of a Wright, Reyes, and Soriano infield for the next half-decade.

The way the NL is, they would be in the WS every year.

Reyes

Soriano

Beltran

Delgado

Wright

Floyd

Lo Duca

Wow.

How long is Floyd under contract for? I don't think the Mets are looking to keep him on.

No doubt that he's a great ballplayer. And he's now accomplished an amazing record in baseball. He's been solid from the time he broke into the league and he keeps getting better every year he plays.

good for Soriano, not just for this, but for staying positive in Washington and helping the franchise. I would really be impressed if he re-signed with them. Loyalty is underrated

If we can get Soriano' date=' get him. I don't care if Pedroia's coming up. If Pedroia can be half as good as Soriano I'd be happy.[/quote']When you have the chance to get a stud, you get him. We'll be lucky if Pedroia is as good as Eckstein.
