i think the drug use is so rampant it'd crush the sport if a full accounting of users were possible.

Look at the ESPN report regarding the Carolina Panthers, stating guys were taking alarming levels of performance enhancing drugs in the season before their super-bowl appearance.

I'd trust no one to be 'roid free....my suspects in the past have included:

Trot

Tek

Nomar

Kapler

Foulke

Jeter

ARod

Pujols

IRod

Piazza

etc.

etc.

guys swat 425 ft HRs with one hand?

a ridiculous number of pitchers throw 95+

lucky for MLB the truth likely will never come out and enough fans will believe their idols are not guilty.

Jeter? He has little or no muscle definition. Foulke? What makes you suspect him. Even in 94, he barely cracked 90 mph. What about Clemens and his body transformation after he left Boston.

How's that Batting Avg. race going? I think Jeter is in third place now. Ortiz is at 53 HRs now and he has hit w 5 in the past week with no protection in the lineup, but somehow Jeter is extending his MVP lead with the writers. What a rigged BS system.

I believe Cano actually has a better chance. And it's not rigged, the sox are out of it. That nearly kills all chances at winning. Add on the DH, and yeah, he's out.

Ryan Howard and David Ortiz should win the MVP. Anything less is simply rediculous but thats baseball.

simply ridiculous? are you joking? If Ortiz DOES win, it'll be simply ridiculous. I can name 3 players that deserve it more than he does. Yeah, it's not fair that he got stuck on a s***** team, but that's always the way it's worked outside of A rod who fielded well and had numbers far and away better than anybody else.

He plays defense and his team still has a shot.

His team will be eliminated. It will finish further out in their division than the Red Sox, and his defense is a minus for his team. The Phillies would be better off if he was a DH.

BTW: When the Phillies get eliminated, you still won't hear anything negative about him being the MVP

The division isn't what's important. What race are the red sox in? None. What standings are you looking at by the way? The phillies are leading it by a half game. The red sox haven't been a half game from a playoff spot since early august.

If the Phillies get the WC the point is moot, but if they don't you will still not hear the argument that he's not worthy, because he's not up against the Yankees and their media machine.

If they do not win the WC, i believe Pujols should win. If they do, Howard is a no brainer. Whether your team makes the playoffs or not carries a lot of weight.

Jeter? Are you serious? Might as well add chone and david eckstein to that list.

Am I serious? well, only half-serious. What I'm trying to say is I would trust no one in MLB to be drug-free....no one at all.....because with the dollars at stake, with the egos involved, I can't be sure about anyone. And I won't fall into the trap of looking only at body types or muscle definition because different bodies respond differently to use.

The reaction to throwing Jeter's name in the mix is exactly what I would have expected. Jetes couldn't possibly do such a thing, right?

Like I say, I trust none of 'em.
