I hate the small sample sizes of batter-pitcher numbers, like Youk's 2 for 3, and all of the sudden you're pinch hitting him to come in (not tonight, but the matchups should be thrown out the window until they've faced each other 30 times or so)

This team has no fight left in it...normally i am optomistic and i may be again tommorow but this team shows no sign of life. When damon and millar left they took the attitude with them. Remy kept saying how quiet it was on the flight yesterday, 9th inning and the hit by loretta was a close play at best and noone on the sox dugout argues except for Snyder (with the game on the line because they don't walk tizzle if loretta is there)

 

it just seems liek they don't even care anymore---we have a chance to pick up ground in the WC and can't get it done--with another good outing (3 strait now and 3 strait losses) by the pitching. (although we'll never know why gabbard was in there)

He's a pathetic manager but he will survive the 2006 season. They just gave him a new contract (why i don't know) but he gets until 2007 before he gets canned. Injuries have caught up to this team and it will be an excuse to keep him around.
