I don’t know where to start, but as far as the pen goes, they need some help. Maybe Foulke can bring something when he comes back.

I’m mostly concerned right now with Loretta’s hit on the elbow.

I know Loretta has been a very solid player this year, but im not all that worried with him. IMO, he is the one guy we can afford to lose right now on offense. I actually am really anxious to see Pedroia playing 2nd for this team. Hopefully he's alright, but the biggest problem is with the pitching staff as a whole.

The offense needs to start blowing out teams like the royals. when was the last time this team had a blowout win
The pitchers neeed to be blowing away KC's lineup. Starters can't burn themselves out by the 5th so we have to keep getting 4 innings from the pen. With our inconsistent pen, going to the pen for 4 innings neutralize our talent advantage over these teams.

As bad as this team seems,it could've been worse. Today on WEEI they were talking about how the word isw that Theo was opposed to the Beckett deal. As inconsistent as he has been, where would we have been without Beckett's 13 wins and Lowell?

well getting rid of Hanley wasnt the worse thing. hes not doing too well and is not the ideal lead off man and is terrible at short. Gonzo is way better. If he was in the AL he'd be worse offensively. I think Anibal was the greater loss since hes still young and could prolly be a solid # 3 pitcher

Im starting to be concerned about Lester. He has been pretty bad in his last 5 starts.

He's running out of gas. It's crystal clear. You know you're in some deep s*** when you're number 3 starter has nothing left in the tank, and he's a rookie with the struggles that he's having lately.

Again, THANKS FOR THE STARTER THEO!

Lester's era over his last 4 starts is sitting around 7. You can stay serviceable if you have 3 cogs working and a sporadic last 2. You cannot be a winning team if 4 of your 5 rotation spots are serious ??'s every single game they pitch. Beckett against Redman tomorrow. Beckett will either get bombed or throw a 2 hitter. Redman is the type of pitcher who gets the sox to go into fits. We'll see how it plays out.

I've been very down and very negative about the pathetic efforts over the weekend and tonight, but there is cause for optimism. I heard that that pompous ass idiot Michael Kay has declared the Red Sox dead. The last time he did something like that was in 2004. I heard him on the radio pre-game show with Trupe (I think), before the Sox went on its winning streak. He categorically stated that the Yankees were not at all concerned with or afraid of the Red Sox. Well we stuck it up his ass that year. I love how he tell the story how he got physically ill watching the Red Sox with "their beard and long hair" celebrate on the Yankee Stadium field. I hope we make that condescending prick hurl all over the booth this year.

I wish I had the chance to beat their asses down personally.

Playoffs? Boolcheet. They're losing ground playing the likes of TB and KC. If Beckett and Lester aren't consistently good, and the bullpen keeps wearing a napalm suit while trying to put out the fire, and nobody hits when it matters, then the playoffs are a pipe dream, and they'll be out of it by Sept 1.
