Well DeMarlo Hale has had had 2 bad baserunning decisions in last couple of games, had to come sooner or later

Who wouldve thought? Standing ovation for Jason Johnson. Today's game showed what he has to do, keep utilizing that sinkerball and just get the groundball outs. He'll probably be granted another start which would be at Tampa Bay on Sunday

thats it for JJ...i am really happy with his performance, he got ripped then he settled down.

 

he used to be a good pitcher and he showed some of his real stuff tonight, hopefully he stays this way and not the JJ we've seen for most of the year.

I disagree with the second play. It took a perfect throw, and there were two outs in the inning. Plus, he was actually safe. Not Hale's fault the ump blew the call.

The rate at which runners are being left on 3rd lately, maybe he’s trying the more aggressive approach.

Going into this year his winning percentage was .377, so his 3-10 record is pretty well on par with the rest of his career.

The last time that Varitek went on the DL with a fractured elbow, the team spiraled downward immediately. Although his offense has been down and he never throws anyone out, his value is in the way he handles the pitching staff. I am very concerned.
