David Wells needs rehab starts, That Game in Oakland no rehab start he got rocked, game against Toronto no rehab start got rocked, When he pitched agiasnt Tampa he had a rehab start, and was pitching well

Didnt you hear? The Sox are confident in Wells coming back from a long layoff & pitch like he should. Sure theres a lot of risk, but why even bother trading for at least a decent starter?

Me too....after a couple of starts. I have far more confidence in Wake too, but he's 3 weeks out. Confidence in Snyder? Not so much.

I don't think we could've gotten lidle without also taking Abreu. A part of the yankees willingness to take on that contract was that they also got lidle. Wells has been bad his first start off the DL before. We don't know what Mark Redman or Tony Armas would've cost. I bet they were asking for one of delcarmen/bucholz/bowden.
