Powers hitters tend to strikeout so its nothing new. WMP has more power now than Nixon and a better bat. He should be playing over trot period. no more of this loyalty to trot who has an empty batting average and weak stats all year. get WMP consistant playing time now while trot is out and hopefully WMP runs with it.

Right. I was just explaining why I think WMP in the 5 spot puts us below the ChiSox trio. WMP's Ks are the reasons that Dye is a more solid 5 hitter than WMP in their respective lineups.

I swear last night his broken bat line drive of a ball was heading for the monster seats. Only a player with great power can be able to drive a ball that far while breaking the bat in the process. IMO if the bat didnt break, it probably wouldve landed on the expressway.

 

That aside, yes it is time to start easing Wily Mo into right field. Trot's really starting to look like a defensive replacement who's in there for the whole game. He's hitting .194 in the month of July with 1 extra base hit, and .198 since the All-Star break. Oh yea and he also hurt himself again on a bad swing.

Even if he didn't hurt himself it was time to start replacing him. The guy is a declining bum now and is not going to find his power stroke anymore. I can't wait until the Nixon era is over because he is overrated and there are people on this board who want to keep this guy because he was on the 2004 team. well this guy is pretty much finished as a player and for those who can't see it they are wearing the rose colored sunglasses.
