I really like Kyle Snyder. He's been very solid for us this year. Hopefully he keeps it up. I am usually pretty confident when he starts, and this is no exception, especially when we've been hitting the cover off the ball against the A's over the past two games.

That 7.02 ERA is solid?

That includes his bad start with KC where he went just 2 innings allowing 9 Runs (5 ER)

With Boston (3 starts)-- 2-1, 4.91 ERA

14.2 innings, 17 Hits, 10 Runs (8 ER), 3 Walks, 14 Ks

Thank you for saving me the time. :)

there are times where snyder looks real good and times where he looks real bad.

He's got some good stuff once in a while and he hasnt done to bad of a job for the sox.

if he continues this way he could end up being a spot starter/long reliever for the sox down the stretch.

here's hoping to a win

Announced on WEEI’s interview with Tito: Mirabelli in the lineup and Cora starting at SS.

Pretty basic - as riverside sluggers pointed out, they are more successful vs. Haren than Tek and Gonzo.

My bad. Yeah, that is solid. I would rather have a healthy Wells, but Snyder has filled in well.

For Cora' date=' yes, but for Mirabelli, I think it's just giving Tek a day off.[/quote']

I was expecting this. Tek has been hitting great since the Break and him getting day games off after night games can only help him.

would you agree that Snyder has been to us what Shawn Chacone was to the MFY ?

No.

Chacon's ERA was two runs lower, and he had success for two months. Snyder, has had success in two starts, none of which are considered quality.

No, Chacone went 7 and 3 and won big games down the stretch. Snyder hasn't came close to that yet.

Well, Snyder has us in a 5-0 hole and the bats seem dead. Woohoo.

Snyder seems like he'd be good for long relief. He'll go 3-4 innings before getting hammered.

thats exactly where he should go when Wells comes back. DFA Tavarez and make Snyder the new long relief/mop up man

I guess the only positive was that Snyder made it through 6, but basically the same results from his previous starts.

the only thing remained was the same that he doesnt have the stamina/durability a starting pitcher needs. 2 starts (both vs Oakland) he allowed 11 runs in 10 innings. His other 2 starts (Nats, Mariners) he allowed 5 runs in 10 innings
