Nuke LaLoosh 11-5, 5.12

vs.

Mark "Look Ma, I made the All-Star team" Redman 6-4, 5.38

Today's Theme: GLOBAL THERMONUCLEAR WAR

Nuke, like the computer program Joshua in the movie War Games, needs to learn that sometimes you need to adjust the way you think/approach things. Joshua thought that all games either have a winner or a loser, and that they should be played until such a result was established. He eventually learned, that in some games, like Global Thermonuclear War and Tic-Tac-Toe (improbably analogy there), there is no winner, no matter how well you play. Nuke, for some reason, still thinks he can be successful in this league by giving hitters a steady diet of fast balls. Hopefully, he will see the folly in this line of thinking and learn his lesson too.

So where does Willy Mo fit on this team with Kapler Playing so well? Trade Bait?

unfortunately the FO is probably determined to justify the Arroyo trade, so therefore Pena is sticking around, plus the fact that he has the potential to be a very good power hitter for us in the future, so Nixon is likely the trade bait

Apparently Millar seems to have handed over his Tito with a goat, lederhosen, and a 5-lb block of cheese pictures to Kapler.

Just pitiful of how the Sox offense is lying down for Hudson, Duckworth, and now Mark Redman thus far. Kansas City has the worst starters ERA at 6.12

KC Starters vs Boston through today:

15.1 innings, 4 Runs, 12 Ks

I know it's KC, but at least we're winning. I know it's not hard to beat them, but at the end of the day a win's a win. I'm very disappointed in our offense, but at least they find a way to win. They better figure it out tomorrow with Texas' offense coming in. Schilling's going to have to help keep their batters at bay while our struggling lineup tries to get something going.

By the way, when was Manny's last homer?

I'm at work and checking in on Gameday. That's 2 HBP for Nuke. Is he pitching inside more today. If so, good.

im hearing the umpire yelling at Buddy Bell on the radio

The umpire is screaming, "I heard you the first time!!"

Bell was arguing the strike zone.

He has already set a season high ...

Anyone know how many times a pitcher has had their seasons "personal best" against the Sox lineup this year?
