How can you tell a team that they cant pitch someone when they want b/c they have to be ready for an "All Star game". You are going to see some backlash from players and teams on that rule if it ever goes down. I could see some pitchers just saying I'll pitch Sunday and I'll skip the ASG

Totally agree. All of his actions concerning the ASG are dumbass moves that usually prove to be nothing but reactionary blunders. For example a few years back the game ends in a tie because there were no pitchers left. His response, make the games “count” by determining home field advantage for the WS to the league that wins. What does one have to do with the other?

I think FOX had more to do with the decision to have home field go to the winner of the ASG rather than MLB. Personally, I would just award home field to whichever league wins interleague play overall. The ASG doesn't need to count for anything
