Scouting Report: Young 5-tool OF out of Wren High School. Drafted #27 in the first round by the Red Sox. Has 70 power potential on the 80 scale. Very athletic, and plays good defense. Needs to cut down on strikeouts and has battled hamstring injuries. Is fairly raw so he will need a good amount of time in the minors, but has very high potential

I was going to wait till his OPS was over .700 but thought id give an update in. In 67 ABs in GCL hes batting .284/.364/.313. Hasnt demonstrated a lot of power but it'll come with age.

He just got out of HS. Give the guy a break....power comes with age and experience. its the last tool to develop.

Place is likely out for the year as there have been rumors he was hit in the face with a pitch. Its not comfirmed but its also something the Red Sox organization likely will not announce.

Place did get hit in the earflap but is fine. Theo was quoted in the globe and said it was team policy with guys that low in the system to hold him out a week. They are hoping he would be back for the GCL playoffs which the Red Sox are in after clinching the division this week.
