More excuses from the YES crew for ARod. They are saying that he is dropping his arm down on his throws, and this might be a symptom of an arm injury. Kay jumped on that and recalled the 3 hop throw to 1st base, lending credence to the injury theory. But they are also wondering if he has a mental problem.

and Beckett is the pitcher that has been tourched the most no?

EDIT: Wells has 3 HR's against Beckett this season.

Doesn’t Wells have 4 HR’s off Beckett this year? IIRC, there were 2 games in Toronto where he hit 2 HR’s in each game.

Idk, I think ARod just pisses everyone off just through how he acts, like instead of saying "we all try hard", he'll say "I try hard" and he always whines, and when he does something good, he makes a big thing out of it, like the 10 RBI game when he gave out autographed balls, you dont' see Papi giving out anything when he hits a walk-off. And he is sooo f***ing Mike Kay everynight, Ive never seen so much kiss-ass.

I am glad to hear ARod agree with Torre statement that because ARod made the error as opposed to someone else it might be the focal point of the game. That doesn't sound like whining does it? He also said that he was very happy with the way he threw the ball tonight except for that one play.

Edit; 26 to 6, pay attention.

Do you listen to Kay's show on 1050? Its the biggest piece of trash. I've never seen anyone defend A-Rod like Kay does.

If you listen to the things A-Rod says it can drive you nuts. He calls himself "brilliant" after he made that DP against the White Sox. Why cant he just be bland? Why cant he pull a Jeter and not give anything worth writing to the media.

What a s*** Moose is! When asked if the error opened the door, he said yes that everything happened from there. He just completely buried ARod saying that they need him back to the way he used to be. What a total s***!

ARod going to the Yankees was hands down the best thing that ever happened to the Red Sox.
They never would've won in '04 with him and without Manny.

Yeah Mussina should not have said that. He should have said something like the error didnt help but I needed to pick up my teamates and I wasnt able too. Leave it at that. I'm sure other players are just as upset.

ARod looked like he wanted to cry when he was asked if he would want out of NY because things are going so badly. If things get worse for this guy, I think there is a possibility of seeing him blubber like a baby one of these nights. maybe the fans should show him a little love.:D

He could have said that he was sure that ARod was very upset, but errors happen and he didn't do his job after the error. He offered nothing supportive at all for his teammate.

I have never liked A rod. Now I have an excuse.

Guess I won't have to worry about it anymore since we're trading him to Washington for Soriano and Zimmerman.

O btw- did I mention Jose Vidro, and Felipe Lopez are also included?

Hopefully it goes through, we need a deeper bench.

Arod for Vidro, Lopez, Soriano and Zimmerman????

Jim Bowden is a complete idiot. But whatever, his loss is our gain. Wish he had threw in a relief pitcher instead of lopez or vidro.

what is this deal complete or something??

I will be interesting to see how this plays out. ARod was traded mid-contract, so he can ask out of town any time he wants. If he continues to struggle, and the NY fans/media keep up the pressure -- a sort of vicious cycle -- it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see him demand a trade. Not many teams will view his contract as appealing, so they may not get much in return. And, unlikely to happen, if they don't trade him he hits the market.

If he asks out of his contract he will be the most hated fomer NY athlete ever. I also think that will be a huge mark against his career. Asking out of two tough situations. The last being because he cant hack it mentally? Talk about a bitch.

Looking back on it Arod was a fool to leave Seattle. Yes he left for more money but he had a comfort zone there and would be taking the beating he is today since he came up in the mariners system.

If I recall correctly, he didn't ask out of Texas. They wanted to get out from under his huge contract, and he was agreeable to a move. Perhaps he even approached them, but I don't think he formally made the request. If he did, then I think he loses the right to request a trade (I think you only get one such request).

I can't fault him if he wanted to leave, but I also would be surprised to see him "quit". It would reinforce everything he's been criticized for, particularly his mentality, so he will, at least I hope, stay. Sometimes he digs his own grave, but perhaps even that is a product of the unfair and unfortunate circumstances he's had to face.

Not that I pity him or whatever. Meh, take the money and RUN. :D
