Hey, I've seen that pitch location before. You can't give Wells a belt high one on the inner half.

Catalanotto gets his ass saved by Vernon Wells!!!

And just like that the Sox have regained their 2 1/2 game lead

Just curious, why is Catalanotto to blame there? He's not the type of guy that gets a green light to make his own decisions on the bases. I'd bet dollars to donuts he got sent. What's he supposed to do, not try and steal?

Bud Selig has just made a major announcement, I don't know if any one else saw it. For the first time in the history of MLB, a loss will be charged to a position player. That brings A-Rod's record to 0 - 1. No word on what tonight's game will to to his already towering URA (Unearned Run Average.)

I agree. Gibbons got saved tonight.

Gibbons shouldnt have been greedy and sent him on the first pitch/Franky also had a small lead off of 1st base

True, just ask Beckett.

Mmmkay. Don't get where this comment is coming from. I'll write it off to heat of the moment. Considering that I said I recognized the location, isn't it safe to assume that I was referencing Sox pitchers' performance against Wells this year?

He made that announcement yesterday when Stinett single handedly lost the game.

Ask some Yankee fans.

Nice answer. Thought so.

DAMMIT!!!!!!!

I hate you Vernon Wells!

This is now 2 games in a row that I think we should have won. This sucks. 2.5 out and only 3 up. Not good. What a time for Mo to give up HR #1 on the year :(

EDIT: Wells has 3 HR's against Beckett this season.

No doubt. It just came out like a snarky remark. If you say it wasn't, I'll take your word for it.

It was a fair comment about the league leader in wins.

Hey, Wells does have 3 bombs off of Beckett. ORS made a comment about how he has seen that location before. I just attached a name to it.

I could have used Randy Johnson also. The Jays rape RJ everytime they face him and I'm sure Wells is in the middle of that damage.

But, they probably should have lost the 2 prior to that (Sexson 3 run error, blown call). Ebb and flow. It all evens out in the end.

True, you can also say the Yankees could have won yesterdays game if the umpire allows Phillips to go to 3rd with 0 outs instead of saying time was called when it wasnt.

BTW Some very good news today. Matsui had x-rays done on his wrist and the bones have fused back together "perfectly". Once the muscle soreness goes away he will be cleared to take BP. Maybe this takes away the need for a COF if they can get him back maybe mid to late August. Matsui said he would like to come back August 15th. Who knows how realistic that is.

I told you that it was a fair comment.

Sucks to hear though about Dotel, yet another setback could shut him down for the season I had heard
