Ok, my family is doing something for my grandfather. We've decided to paint one side of his garage like the Green Monster (he's a diehard Sox fan), and we want it to look as good as possible. We're trying to keep everything in proportion, the thing is, no one knows how big the scoreboard is. Does anyone have any idea?

Same here not sure the deminsions of the scoreboard, but that is really cool. That would be so sweet if it was on the outside part of the garage door where people could see it when they drove by.

Haha, thanks.

I couldn’t find the exact dimensions of the scoreboard anywhere on line so I emailed the Red Sox (from the RedSox.com website, using the Contact Us link). If I get a reply I’ll post it.

Sweet, much appreciated.

Thanks.

Kilo:

The link below is to an article which talks about a Green Monster replica that was being built for the Portland Sea Dogs and gives the dimensions of the Fenway version and the minor league affilate's version:

Assuming this is accurate I think it may provide what you were looking for.

Thanks for that, it'll help with the proportions.

It doesn't have the dimensions of the actual scoreboard, but it will help.

Thanks!

Kilo, this might be a rudementary method, but if you can get a decent pic, straight on, you might be able to figure out fairly closely how big the scoreboard is by using a ruler plus the fact that you know the wall is 37 ft high...then set a scale to figure out the scoreboard.

That sounds very cool. Getting a picture and scaling it is the best way. It worked for me when I built a 7 foot long working Green Monster with changable numbers and teams. It's now in the family room next to the TV.
