I can't wait to get out of Toronto, at least we'll have the majority of our games with them done after this, we don't see them again til august.

The Red Sox look like a minor league ballclub whenever they play the Blue Jays... why? Why is it the Blue Jays are mediocre against the rest of the league, but we can't beat them. How can we have a winning record against the Yankees but NOT the Blue Jays. This is a paradox.

Umm.... the Jays have beaten most teams this season in series. we just haven't swept any teams yet. Tower's is the main reason why we're behind you guys a couple games. how can a mediocre team be a game behind?

In Toronto's 7 wins against Boston, theyve scored at least 7 runs in each of them

God, thats annoying. Tina Cervasio talks to the players of the opposing team who won the game. And Sox fans want to see that because? Needed insight I guess as she is going to ask Wells what he thought of Beckett tonight

haha Glaus what a cocky guy

Well we've faced Beckett like 3 or 4 times now. He's pitched very well against us. But we've been able to get some key hits, couple of runs here and there

Beckett vs Toronto (4 starts)

17 Runs on 23 Hits (7 Hrs) in 24 innings

f***in sigh of relief that sox dont face this team until august 31

Loretta wouldve actually given an effort, something that Gonzo cant do.

He's thanking his lucky stars he plays great defense, if not then the Sox have no use for him

Give it a rest.

Why is everyone so worried about the Red Sox? Did you see Monday's lineup? That's probably the best lineup in the American League, save for the healthy Yankee lineup. Look at these numbers:

.371, .369, .361, .431, .414, .372, .335, .429.

Those are the OBP numbers for our first eight hitters. Granted, Gonzalez sucks, but he has a great glove. Which, by the way, the Red Sox have the best defense in baseball.

Throw in the fact, that the Red Sox rotation will be better than it was shown these last few days. Schilling, Beckett, Wakefield, and Wells. That's a pretty good front four to run out their every week. Wells is still hurt, but you know he's going to give you league average innings out of the fourth spot, which is pretty valuable. Lester, and Hansen should be ready by August, which will give the Red Sox two more quality arms to add to the pitching staff.

Basically, what I'm saying, we'll go through a rough stretch, all teams do. The difference is, that the Red Sox have the talent to stop long rough stretches. Come the trade deadline, the Red Sox will be up there. So will the Yankees and Blue Jays, but it should make for pretty damn interesting race, though.

i was just talking about gonzo's offense in clutch late situation games, i fail to see the logic where i was throwing the whole season out the window, or bashing the defense, pitching, and rest of the offense. Thanks for putting words in my mouth by the way

this makes me sick , loosing again against the jays. so far boston is the only reason that the jays are close to first place, toronto should be 6 , 7 games back , but no we cant beat them

The first sentence was directed toward you, the rest was a general comment.

Thanks for assuming I was actually responding to you.

the sox will be fine

the yanks will too

the j's are good too

this tiger team however??

i think theyre playing waaaaaaaaaaay over their heads

i think theyre a .500 team,no better

seeing as though theyre off to a great start theyll be competing for the wild card but i dont see them finishing with 95 wins,90 tops.

what? Why is boston the only reason we're close? we've taken 2 out of 3 more often than not and have taken 3 out of 4 as well.

i could say the same thing about Boston being up there because of them playing Baltimore.

Boston and Toronto are both good teams and will be battling it out all year for first. look at the lineups. the aces and the power are all similar

We're 3-7 against the Jays. We're in first place. We swing a few of those games in our favor and suddenly the Jays are tied with the Os.
